“Yeah, fine whatever but I’m not sleeping there.” said Max.
“Look if this is really the Talbot’s barn we’re getting rooms at the Holiday Inn to
celebrate this discovery, my treat.” said Dylan.
“Fuckin a.” said Max.
Vlad would have normally balked at such an idea, but he was anxious to get the footage and upload it as soon as possible before some lame ass Urbex vlogger finds this place while on Facebook Live. For the first time ever Vlad began to fantasize himself as maybe becoming the next Zak Bagans. Though the barn was less the thirty yards away the walk felt long to Max who was stopping every couple of yards to rub his right calf which kept cramping. They didn’t stop until they were standing a dozen feet from the open barn. The lights on their phones didn’t reach inside but their eyes adjusted enough to see the barn was empty.
“I guess somebody cleaned this place out.” said Dylan.
“How could nobody know about this barn?” Vlad asked himself.
“You didn’t see anything about it at the library or online?” asked Dylan.
“No, no. All the stuff I read never mentioned what happened to the house or barn afterwards.” said Vlad.
“Alright, Max get some B roll.” said Dylan.
“You don’t wanna do a set up shot for a big reveal of this place?” asked Max.
“No, it’s too dark. I wanna grab a few interior shots first.”
They went inside together, the air smelled musky and hot like an attic. The flashlights illuminated the air which was filled with flying motes of dust. The scent made Max tense and apprehensive about going in too far though the barn was small on the inside.
“I hate the way it smells in here.” said Max as he looked up.
