Thomas was born in Cambridge, Mass., at Moun Auburn Hospital on November 8th, 1969. Coincidentally, the same hospital that Rama 9 of Thailand was born in.
By the time that he was 18, he had lived in 5 different countries: Colombia, Turkey, The Philippines, Cyprus, and Thailand.
Between the stays in these countries, he lived in Belmont, Massachusetts.
He graduated from Belmont High School in 1989.
He graduated from Emerson College in 1994 with a BFA in English.
From 1996 to 2000, he helped the New England Environmental
Directory and the Mid-Atlantic Environmental Directory get published.
In 2000, he got a Certificate in Teaching A Foreign Language (CTEFL) from the Worldwide Teachers Development Institute.
He soon left for Thailand to be a teacher and he has been there ever since.
