Preface

Not Acknowledging The Wisdom of God.

Most leaders of today forget that leadership is not rulership, they also forget GOD and do it there own way, like as the bible says in Psalms 14:1 KJV

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God, They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

They feel that, they are all in all, but I tell you that to succeed as a leader you need divine wisdom so if you are or wants to be a leader (moreover everyone can lead, it depends on you), just pick up this my book “An Exploration on Leadership.”

I’ve written this particular book to help you know more about leadership and to motivate you to accept it, when it comes your way.

Read it, absorb it, and allow it to help mold you to a greater God fearing leader, like the efficient leaders.

My desire is, that this book An Exploration on Leadership will add value to your life, and your leadership.

1

Trying to be The Lord of All

“God owns all Power.”

In Daniel 3, when King Nebuchadnezzar made a golden image and commanded everybody to worship it and said that whosoever refuses, should be thrown to a lake of fire.

Almost everybody accepted to worship the king’s image except the three jewish boys “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

When the king heard it, in verse’s 13 and 14

“Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?”

TEST OF FAITH

If it were to be some unfaithful people, they would have denied out of fear and worship the golden image of the king. But these boys didn’t do so instead, verses 16-17

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliver us out of thine hand O king.”

The king was so angry, that he commanded his guards to throw the boys into the lake of fire, because he felt that, since he is king, that he is all in all.

ASTOUNDED

But something happened Verses 24-26

“Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came forth of the midst of the fire.”

When they came out everybody was so surprised and astonished in Verses 29-30, something also happened.

CHANGE OF DECREE

Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.”

So you see, to be a leader an effective and efficient leader you need the wisdom of God to guide you, so you don’t make mistakes. Like Nebuchadnezzar he taught he was too powerful, that he can make everybody to worship his image, which he expensively made of gold.

Great thanks to the almighty God who manifested his greatness in that fire, by so doing, showed the king, and his elites, the supremacy of his power, and so they worshiped him.

What it Signifies to be a Leader

Being a leader means working harder than your followers, “That is a leader must lead by example.” Not just relaxing like a “fat pocket man” or “potbellied ruler” that is after his own selfish interest.

True leaders often puts in more and more effort to buttress their leadership, they increase their leadership skills by personal effectiveness.

A Pastor or a President must be more diligent to his work than his subordinates.

Prepare your mind for hard work!

Leadership is hard work.

He often puts in more hours than his followers.

“Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibility… In the final analysis the quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility.” Michael Korda So to succeed as a leader you need to be responsibly opposite to your work and work harder than all those around you, and apply God’s wisdom.

Becoming a True Leader

True leaders; lead their congregations, countries or kingdoms on a true Godly principle.

There by raising disciples.

A New Definition of Leadership

2

Redefining And How to Categorize a Leader A True Leader is one who follows divine instructions.

There are three stages of leadership which are; 1. Born Leaders

Jesus was born a king.

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herold the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, where is he that is born king, of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”

Jesus was born a king, Herold tried to kill him but his plans failed.

Jesus was born in a manger, he was a heavenly body. The King of Kings and The Lord of Lords.

He came in the flesh, filled with the Holy Spirit to lead us to salvation, died on the cross just because of you and me; it is not easy for a leader to die for his followers, But Christ died for our sins and rose again.

Jesus taught his followers the “Apostles” so-many things in parables, later before he would go to heaven, he us the great commission. Matthew 28:18-20

“18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

Every prince is born to lead.

2. Achieving Leadership Through Hard work Nelson Mandela is an example of a leader that worked for the interest of his people.

Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failures, loyalty, and persistence. Colin Powell So successful leaders cultivate tenacity and move ahead.

3. Been Bestowed with Leadership

In the scriptures, in 1 Samuel 16, there was a leader that was bestowed with leadership, he was chosen and selected by God.

I’m talking of no other person than king David. “The man that’s close to God’s heart.”

And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD

said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

1 Samuel 16:1,12&13

What it Signifies to be a Leader From the chapter you’ve just read, you’ll find out that leadership has stages, so are you a leader? Or wants to aspire? Then work hard. Ask for Grace.

A leader must show the true way to his followers.

Jesus is our standard of leadership.

Becoming a True Leader

A true and active leader must arise and shine.

Awake and take the bull by the horns.

3

Leadership is not Rulership

Jesus Christ during His ministry here on earth he was a good leader and he is still a leader, and he led us unto salvation. With his precious blood he shed for humanity.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Romans 8:34

So leadership is service.

Leaders serve their followers.

What is Leadership

Leadership is simply a position of being a leader.

A leader must show followers good examples.

A good leader must have the ability to lead, and good qualities that people will emulate and put in action.

Jesus being our mighty father and leader, led from the front.

Leadership is leading from the front.

As a leader you must be active in your work, and you must take active part in what you’re telling or persuading others to do.

What is Rulership

Rulership is the state of being ruled or governed by a person. A ruler sits and commands everything he wants.

Hey you, do this, and you do that.

Rulers often uses dictatorship in their governance. They are after their selfish interests, fat pocket men who wants only their families to be the best.

Potbellied rulers who has no sympathy for humanity; they molest and treat people like animals, enslave them, and force them to serve them. Make them to completely become dependent on them, so they can’t manage without them.

So you see Rulership is wicked governance.

The Difference Between Leadership and Rulership

Leadership

Rulership

It is Serene.

It is Severe.

It’s Seriousness in service.

Forces people to serve.

Have God’s understanding.

Controlled by selfishness.

Leads First.

Sends people instead.

Happy with people.

Always strict and angry.

What it Signifies to be a Leader

Being a leader means creating impacts in people’s life and not just enslaving them.

Becoming a True Leader

Be a leader God can use.

Only then can you add value to people’s lives.

Don’t Trust Yourself, Trust God

You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

1 Samuel 17:45 NIV

The arms of flesh will fail you, we all or majority of us, heard of the story of David and Goliath, how mighty, gigantic and fortified Goliath was, but David won him.

Many leaders go for charms, for success, but I tell you they’ll fail you, the best way is to, know yourself and know God.

In The Face of Fear

The Israelites were afraid because of the philistines, and especially because of the giant “Goliath.”

And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

1 Samuel 17:8 KJV

In verses 10 and 11

And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.

When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

The Power of God’s Leadership God’s leadership is supreme; He led David to the battle, when David arrived there, because his father Jesse sent him on an errand.

Verse 17-18

And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of thy brethren;

And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.

After David has asked and confirmed what will be given to the person who kills Goliath, he did as God instructed him, took his staff in his hand and five smooth stones from the stream, put them in his bag with his sling in his hand, and approached the Philistine.

The Rise and fall of Your Problems

Meanwhile, the Philistine with his shield bearer in front of him kept coming closer to David. He looked over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him. He said to David, Am I a dog, that you came at me with sticks? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. Come here; he said, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field.

David said to the Philistine, you come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel whom you have defied. And God helped David to win Goliath.

”Therefore David slew the head of Goliath, and the Philistines fled.”

In verse 54

“And David took the head of the philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armour in his tent.”

What it signifies to be a Leader

Trust in God, and all Goliath in your life will fall.

Be of good courage.

Becoming a True Leader

When God guides you, you’ll lead perfectly.

5

Now you’re a Successful Leader

Don’t wait until everything is right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.

Mark Victor Hansen

Accepting to face your worst fear and achieve your dream is courage and strength.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Philipians 4:13

You must first be a believer if you must be an achiever.

Someone like Thomas Edison is an example of a remarkable success, he climbed from zero to hero, from failure he became a success.

What it took to be a Success

Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb and founder of General Electric is an example of someone who failed but never saw himself as a failure.

He was sent out of school at age seven, because he was too dull academically. And his experiments failed many times.

Joy at Last

As God may have it, Thomas Edison rose up to become a great scientist and most notable inventor of his time.

You can also be a success, what you just need is Devine instruction, attention and protection. And I assure you, you’ll get to your destination.

Motivations to other Leaders

“Many of life failures are people who do not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. “ Thomas Edison

What it signifies to be a Leader It is a thing of joy if you’re called to lead, don’t be reluctant, be courageous, active, strong and God fearing.

Only God can reduce the pressure on you as a leader, because everyone looks up to you for direction and guidance. Learn to view yourself as a success and not a failure.

Finally encourage and spend time with God and with your followers, reconnect your energy of continuity, and achieve your success.

Becoming a True Leader What happens when a leader is too impetuous? What changes does he have to make with his followers to correct this?

He has to consider these three changes;

 Rearranging responsibilities, and make sure

 You have enough money in your fund.

 Figure out ways to improve your organization.
