Pan Am flight 164 'Clipper America' departed Paris on Apr 23, 1959, towards New York. What had started like a routine flight for 115 passengers and crew members suddenly became anything but routine over the North Atlantic. The occupants of the Clipper American will then have to face an impossible situation, one that should never have even been possible.
