Jacob’s old world

With the shake down complete and everything a complete success including finding that imps in space is not only possible but their libido is amplified.

All the machinery is working perfectly. It is time for our first mission. Collecting all that orbiting debris around his old world. All that scrap is orbiting in one direction so the plan is to go in the same direction at a few miles faster. That way there will be no damage to us.

Jacob asks me if we could use the tractor to grab the bigger items, then we could clean up the bigger pieces that could be repurposed. The remainder then would be rendered.

I tell him that is a good plan and I plot all of them. Even though there are millions of pieces, most are small. There are a limited number of big pieces so harvesting them first makes sense.

There was one thing that we did not factor in. The worlds generals. As we settle in an orbit that I can start to grab those large pieces, I need to break off. There were several explosions in the junk belt.

The military have detected us and launched missiles at us. Richard now goes into the Electronic Commandos mode along with the imps.

“They have to be idiots.” He remarks “My fellows, we are going to have fun with this group.”

He tells us that we need to hang loose for a while. “We are going to make their life even more miserable.”

Just that quick, he opened a door and they were gone.

I put my hands behind my head and ask Vannessa is she wanted to take a walk.

“We have not been alone since we met. Let’s just talk.”

Vannessa was happy to oblige. We walked and talked about our pasts. I filled her in on my life and she hers. I was thankful for her when she told me that she had been sold to a slaver but his first world was his last. He tried to invade a goblin protected world.”

“I’m glad that you only were bought but did not have any slave brought abord. If you hadn’t been bought by that slaver, we would not be together now.”

She smiled then had a very pleased look on her face.

“The gods of all gave me some information. We need to go to the sorting area.”

I ask her what but she only said that it was a surprise.

There, in the area, I was stopped in my tracks a she points.

“I knew, by the way you talked, you had deep feelings for this so I was able to have it transported here.”

There in the middle of the floor was my pickup truck. A little worse for wear. The windshield was broken, a tire was flat but the worse was the engine now had a big hole in the block. But I loved it.

I surprised Vannessa and gave her a long hug and thanked her. She loved it. She told me that she has located another and on the next orbit over the area, she will bring it here. If I want.

I tell her that it would be wonderful only if she helps me work on it. She transports it here and the body is rotten but the parts I need are here. With the shop, we can rebuild it to its original before debris state.

We will convert the fuel system to her nonpolluting fuel but it still will use the rebuilt engine.

The ship is, as I said very large. Like a city in space. The Bone Yard was before pocket dimension storage. I tell her that I am going to teach her how to drive after we get it running.

My boss is back along with the imps. They all have smiles on their faces. The task on the world went well. Those generals were taken by another god and are now on a vacation on another world she has. The world has been informed, by the gods that you are here to clean up the contaminated space but they will be watching. The next time they pollute the space around their world, the gods will make sure that they never have the capability to do that again.

Now the imps are bouncing all over. Richard took them up from the surface without a door. Tethered, they loved it and will be doing that method on the way back to their realm.

“Your next area is in your navigation. You both need to pick up some junk they left on their neighboring planet. You may even find some things you could use on the vehicle you brought up.”

They all appear on the other side of the view port and then vanish.
