Why are some people always trying to work an edge? Always finding ways of gaining money rather than working for it. Most times that practice will haunt you and may even come back to haunt you unless you wake up.

Obsession with a crack

Why is it? Standing in line with what I wanted to buy when a woman behind me said that I needed to pull up my pants. “You have plumber’s crack.” I really wanted to say something but I held back. I am six four, almost three hundred pounds. I show her my package of tee shirts.

“I have new but the thing is they want three times as much for tall.”

She gives me the huff like I really offended her. Time to come back. She actually is a very attractive woman. For all that would see her, their eyes follow her. She is tanned from what I can see, all over.

“I’m going to say one thing for all men. On the beach, I would bet that you parade around with that string up your crack. Someone look at you, which is exactly what you want, you will say the classic, “What are you looking at?”

I look at her and say, “What are you looking at?”

As I am being escorted out of the store for making her cry. I also am being given over to the police for verbal assault. No longer allowed to enter that store, I am being sued for mental trauma. Social media is wonderful.

I showed up for that hearing. Her lawyer presented the case as she was just being helpful but I was causing her mental anguish because of the top of my butt crack was showing. Then they told of my retort.

All the while, I saw her staring at my covered easel. I never put up an objection.

Now my turn. I call her to the stand. I asked her what she said to me. She, through the tears said what she said. I ask her what package I had, the tee shirts. She then added that I went too far as to question her morals. Then her mouth got in the way of her brain.

Looking at the judge, “He said that I walked on the beach with one of those string bikini. “I would never be caught in one of those. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT!!!!?”

I explain that she posted that picture and more on several social media web site.

It was ruled that I was out of order, I invaded her private web site, I by my own actions was a stalker. I lost.

Broke and broken, I drove away with only the money I had in my wallet. My car is old and one that she said she would not be seen even near it. She graciously allowed me to keep it. I had to declare bankruptcy. I now realize that this world is fucked. I really think I am living in a real life Animal Farm. The inmates are in charge of the asylums.

It was all over the news. Suddenly there was a clamor for me to appear on different news networks. Most wanted to tear me down further but I stuck to my defense. The surprise to me was that the plumber’s unions got me lawyered up with the best lawyer that money could buy.

That lawyer uncovered that she was a close relative of the judge. In appeals court, the tie was exposed. She would bring these cases before him, he would rule and they would split the profits. We won on appeal but also punitive damages from both. The lawyer got a third but I did walk away with her home and all her possessions.

As she was leaving the house I now owned, I handed her the keys to my car. Took her keys, threw her luggage out of it.

“Don’t forget who actually owns this house. If I ever hear of you suing anyone else, I’ll throw you out, I’ll sell it for a dollar and then laugh as you drive away. Show me that you truly understand and always drop off new packages of various sizes of tall tee shirts to the plumber’s union and I will quit claim the house back to you in five years.”

I drive off in her car with half of her bank account now in mine.

I received word, from my lawyer that she is trying to sell the house and that she is back to suing. She even again filed against me for mental torture because she cannot sell her own house. I have the lawyer file for eviction.

Now she is on the streets living in my old car. All she can do is try the small claims court, mostly against me. She loses all the time.

Finally, one day, I see her on a corner, selling herself for food money. I stop and she does not even care that it is me. We drive and park. I now see that she is at rock bottom. Now it is time to strike my final blow.

“Are you happy now? I see a woman who now is just existing. How about this. I have a charity that I founded with my hard earned money and yours. I help people like you in their dire straits get back on their feet. I own the building. I would like to hire you to talk to people who are in your position and help them get back on their feet.”

She does not know what to do so I tell her, “Why don’t we go over there and let them at least talk to you. What I offer is a place to stay, with meals. A very modest salary but I also start a bank account in your name and put a matching amount in each week. The account stays in my name as custodian for one year. If I see someone that has changed, then it is turned over to your name fully.”

We go and she is taken to a woman who was in her position. She has been to the bitter edge and was pulled back. She now takes pride in herself. All she wants to do is help others. She will tell the tale of taunting a man with plumber’s crack and finding that it was actually a crack that she fell in until the owner of that crack finally rescued her.

The woman’s tale has rescued quite a few that are in the place where she was. Either male or female, rock bottom is rock bottom. Circumstances may be different but they are the same. She is a caring ear and a hand up.

Sometimes the book is not finished but I can tell the smell of new and the smell of sour. Her book smells fresh and new. I know what her end page will look like. It will be a picture of her with those who she helped, rather than a moving scene of someone trapped.
