This one is one that was placed on the watched shelf. I do not know how this one will end but I will let you figure it out. She has been elevated since her birth to the point that she knows that she is a goddess. I laugh at this one but I also feel that I someday will be ordered to put it in the room and then receive a destroyed letter to file.

The Supreme Goddess

Jelaz is a goblin woman who is very beautiful, very powerful and very good at keeping it that way. She will enchant the most pious person without a thought if she can benefit. You would gladly shed your blood, give up your life if she even looked your way.

Jelaz knew it.

Her life started as an ordinary female goblin child but slowly, as she started to grow, her parents and the community noticed that she was becoming a beauty. Her parents knew that she would become someone that was going to be sought after. They began to groom her to be able to get her mated to someone of great status.

In doing so, they inadvertently praised her so much that she started to actually feel superior to everyone else. That included her parents.

By her coming of age, she was in total princess mode. Don’t let that title sway you. She was ruthless. To get her way, she would ruin or dispose of anyone. After all, she was more important than those lowly peasants.

Jelaz had never gotten her hands dirty. She had followers that gladly would do anything for her for just a word of praise from their princess. When she heard someone utter a contrary word about her, mysteriously the person would go missing. Male or female, it did not matter.

Her ambition was to be the goblin ultimate ruler. She would do anything to gain that dream. Empress Jelaz, no, that title was not good enough. Supreme Goddess is the only fitting name for her. She did not want anyone to utter her name ever again. That would insinuate that she was mortal.

In her mind, the lower gods, as they should be, lower, are doing her bidding. Her following knew of her title and would do anything to help her. The mate of the emperor suddenly became sick and shortly died. The emperor was in mourning.

Jelaz had a few of the higher nobles in her admirers, so she got one to take her to the funeral where she comforted the grieving emperor. Over a short period of time, she charmed her way into his life and became his empress.

Using her charm and of course, her allure, she charmed him into making a decree that a female could be in power if it was a situation that the emperor was incapacitated. Good timing because a month later, the emperor fell ill and lapsed into a coma.

Her healer told the people that the coma is what is going to help him recover. Jelaz took over in the interim.

She assured all the goblin world that they were safe and that she would make sure of that. She promoted some of her followers to top positions in her government then declared that the nobles that helped her were plotting to take over the rule. They were the ones that poisoned the emperor. Actually, true but.

They were summarily executed before they could speak.

Her followers started the movement to call her the Supreme Goddess.

At first she professed that she was not worthy. When some of her followers killed themselves because she refused to claim the title, she acquiesced and humbly accepted the title. She made it.

The one that killed themselves were the ones in on drugging the emperor.

She had to wait on declaring herself the one and only ruler. She had plans for the emperor. They had to wait. Too soon and it would be obvious that she was behind it all so he would have to sleep.

One day, she received word that he had passed. Jelaz had told her staff that he was to be placed in the mausoleum as soon as he passed. So, her not seeing the dead body was not necessary.

She made the announcement that he had died but she would remain the leader due to her divinity. She now started to clamp down on any talk of her not being divine. Anyone that thought otherwise was publicly executed.

This went on until one day, something or should I say someone walked in. That person was the emperor himself. He wasn’t dead. Loyalists spirited him away. It took all this time to truly heal him but healed he was.

When he heard of what has happened, he knew who was behind it. There was started a clandestine paper posting of her orchestrating all the deaths and elevating herself to god hood. The royal guard was convinced.

When he returned to the palace, much to her horror, the guards chained her.

At her public trial she was exposed as a murderer, not a god. Even her parents were accused of abetting due to the way she was raised. She was found guilty.

The emperor found that death would be too easy on her. He had to think of a long lasting punishment.

He had a room specially prepared for her in the palace. This had an outer door that was off an office. That office was a street accessible one that had gone unused.

Jelaz had a single ankle chain secured to the wall. The room had a shower, toilet and bed. She was fed three meals a day. A female attendant would wash her and give her, her meals. The attendant was to always make sure that she was kept healthy and pretty.

The public came to that office. The attendant was there to collect the fee. For one copper, you could pleasure yourself with the goddess.

That is why I do laugh but also I do feel sorry for her. No one ever stopped her from getting that inflated ego. I do hope that the gods will give her that second chance. I do get a comfort that her book is still on the watched shelf.
