At one point, the bicycle lifted off the ground; not dramatically, just enough to make gravity jealous. He floated past a mountain that apologized for being so tall, and a river that had forgotten how to flow but remembered every secret ever whispered to it.
Eventually, he arrived at a cul-de-sac made of silence. The bicycle stopped. It didn’t need to be told. He dismounted and found a bench carved from old questions. He sat. The wind leaned in and asked, “Was it worth the ride?”
He didn’t answer. He just rang the bell.
And the dream kept going.
