Promoters booking the geriatric shows were having difficulties you would easily imagine. Cancellations due to the artist’s illness was expected, but cancellations due to the audience’s illnesses was not.
They took to putting out vinyl LP’s, upping their pace after Ozzy Osbourne died the day after fronting Black Sabbath’s “last show.” Sales of the live LP went through the roof of nursing homes. ........ That is until the rumor-conspiracy theory started that Black Sabbath guitarist Terence “Geezer” Butler posted on Musk’s X that Black Sabbath would be doing their final tour in two months.
