Suddenly, a chair spun in the crowd. Councilor Bramble, the green moss representative, rose in undulating judgment. "Separation breeds misunderstanding," she intoned. "My people once rooted apart from lava kin. We regret it."
Jasper adjusted his tie; which he'd drawn on with marker. "Understood. But my plan doesn't separate love. Just laundry."
