Musk’s Adjustment

The brain chips in the bots weren’t working very well primarily due to mechanical problems; or the mechanicals were not working very well with the brain chips. Whatever; the stupid bots were reported to be having epileptic-type fits, flailing their arms, legs, and tongues about, striking their human masters, some thought on purpose. Bottom line, customers had stopped paying their monthly fee, and worse, some were suing for physical damage. Elon Musk, genius that he is, sensed that something must be changed to restore his revenue stream.

The first thing he did was to issue a total recall of the bots. However, they got wind of this quicker than their humans, and given the circumstances, regarded it as the potential first step to a bot genocide. They dispersed and did their best to mingle with the nosy, human informants.

When no bots had been returned in a week, Musk issued another public directive, stating that he was not responsible for any damages caused by unreturned bots. This was legally challenged in a class action Trump could not override, the details of which are extremely boring to recount and likely contradictory.
