A 2025 Time Trip Tangle
When Timothy Leary slipped through a wormhole hidden behind an old lava lamp in 1967, he expected psychedelic nirvana. What he got was Tacoma, Washington, July 2025.
He arrived barefoot, wide eyed, and trailed by iridescent soap bubbles that whispered Baudrillard quotes. A passing drone mistook him for an art installation and tried to charge admission.
The techno transcendence began as Leary wandered into a local tech startup called "Synaptixx," where employees wore neural lace to livestream their dreams directly to the blockchain. Naturally, Timothy introduced himself as the "Electrified Archangel of Conscious Expansion" and was immediately hired as their Chief Vibe Officer.
He renamed cubicles “sacred energy cocoons” and replaced productivity metrics with aura readings. The company’s stock skyrocketed when he gave a TED Talk titled “Rebooting the Ego with Quantum Mojitos.”
This caused the digital psychedelic revival in collaboration with a holographic Björk and a sentient synthesizer named Carl.
