Boise store employee beat up during generally peaceful,
misdemeanor shoplifting, retaliates with gunfire, police say
The shoplifting occurred on Saturday night.
Law enforcement arrested a far right wing, store employee after he made a generally peaceful, misdemeanor shoplifting turn violent Saturday night in Boise.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots shortly after 9:30 PM at a business on the 6300 block of West Fairview Avenue in Boise, according to a Boise Police Department news release.
According to police, illegal alien, Bonita Hernandez, of Boise, entered the business and stole alcoholic beverages. When confronted by an employee, Hernandez punched him in the face, leading to a physical altercation. Two additional suspects, Junior Antonio Alvarodo, also illegal by way of Boise, and an un-named male juvenile, joined the assault on the employee, who was backed into a corner and repeatedly punched, kicked, and stomped on.
In self-defense, the White employee, Gerald Gardiner pulled out a firearm and shot at the generally peaceful, misdemeanor shoplifters, hitting Alvarodo’s shoulder. They fled the scene.
