Megaphone Mike, the self-appointed, head coordinator, was bellowing into his braindead megaphone; "All aboard the Bus of Righteous Irritation! Departing soon to the site of tomorrow's slightly more impactful demonstration ...... possibly a parking garage or a defunct fountain!"
Around him was a swarm of volunteers in neon mesh vests and a propensity for nose rings augmented by blue hair, and each emblazoned with a washable “Maori” tatoo of the word "EMOTIONAL LOGISTICS," sideways on their cheeks, who tried to wrangle sign-ups for the protest caravan. Clipboards were passed like Olympic torches while the bus idled behind them, its windows adorned with motivational phrases like "This Vehicle Runs on Hope and Mild Resentment."
Meanwhile, the real action was unfolding at the Merchandise Mandate Tent, a flamboyant setup of beach umbrellas tied together with caution tape.
