Willow People
In a suburb just over the fluid Sudetenland border encroaching, but still not there, Willow People Township residents, substantially White and liberal, proud to be inclusive of 7-8% high income Asians, had a favorite activity; 90% done on weekends when work permitted.
They’d go downtown, and on a side street by the bus terminal, condense into groups; picking out which cutting edge protest in nearby “hip” Sudetenland they would attend.
Their average age qualified them for AARP ten years ago, but the Boomers and X-ers still liked to think themselves eternally young and relevant after having made the revolutionary discovery of the existence of and permitted participation in sex, which seemed not long ago to them, as it was.
However, today’s choices included overlooked causes and best of all, a $20 twenty minute bus ride to somewhere in cool Sudetenland.
