“We have a top song?” Geoffre sputtered one afternoon when Robert showed him the rankings.

Lucas gasped. “Our amused disinterested stupidity is ...... genius?”

Roger just grinned. “Fame, fortune, flamingos. Gentlemen, we have arrived.”

Before they knew it, the boys were swooped into management by a very old Malcolm McClaren, swept into interviews, photo shoots, and even a live performance on a late night talk show. Their parents were equal parts bewildered and horrified; but hey, how do you argue with pop culture madness and the attendant money?

Their overnight fame was surreal, but the boys knew one thing for sure. They had started with what they thought was more or less an inside joke, with its attendant truth, and somehow, the world had played along.
