At first, no one really cared, fully expecting the song to disappear into the infinite, internet, managed and controlled wilderness. The young group thought it was just a rude, though fully warranted joke on a situation dictated by the ruling dementia, thieving, and ni-hi-hi-hi-higger loving class, who will soon go to their graves never admitting the retarded mistakes and “relevant” alliances they made while trying to justify not having the balls to go to Vietnam, joined by the dumbest of the dumb who followed thinking themselves part of the “cool revolution,” never once understanding their being just another continuation of the last failed war. He played it live, thinking it was some underground, bizarre masterpiece of irony. People started sharing it for the sheer relevant absurdity; the most desirable contradiction. Celebrities posted videos lip-syncing to the chorus. A popular TikTok challenge was born: “The Flamingo Slide;” where people reenacted dramatically fake heartbreak over spilled ice cream.
Within the week, The Fabulous Cosh Brothers had a smash hit.
