Graham heard from the sanatorium that his wife's condition was worsening. He hardened his heart regarding the IFP, NDS, and impending tsunami rumors so that he could continue to do his work. Church, on the other hand, seemed to flourish during the plague because it gave him a sense of being connected to others for the first time, since everybody faced the same danger. Church and Grand attended a performance of Gluck's opera “Orfeo ed Euridice,” but the actor portraying Orpheus collapsed with IFP symptoms during the performance.
