“No thanks, I’ll just go home with my brother. I’ll

call you guys tomorrow ok?” Ezra said softly.

Kaia and Joelle remained behind.

“This really sucks!” Kaia mumbled.

Joelle nodded in agreement.

“I call you tomorrow ok.” Kaia said as she

began to walk away.

Joelle couldn’t believe what was happening.

This was so heartbreaking.

They remained in contact but hadn’t gotten

together until today. Kaia and Joelle decided to

go see Ezra. With all that’s been going on with

the cafe, Joonmy became a distant thought.

“Lets go downtown.” Kaia suggested.

“Downtown? Why?” Joelle asked with a giggle.

“For old time sake. To get out of here and get

some fresh air.” Kaia countered.

“What are you talking about? There’s fresh air

here.” Ezra argued.

“Plus, there’s a festival going on.” Kaia enticed.
