
In the distance she saw her brother covered in
soot.
“Oh my, are you ok?” Ezra asked.
“I’m ok. I tried to control it with the fire
extinguisher but it moved so fast. The fire
started next door through that wall.” Her brother
explained.
They all stood there helpless watching it burn
down.
“I’m so sorry.” Joelle whispered to Ezra as she
hugged her.
Ezra just stood there with tears streaming down
her face.
“There’s not much you can do here now. We will
finish up here and then our Investigator will
contact you with his report. It’s totaled and you
will not be able to re-enter the cafe any time
soon. It’s too dangerous.” The fireman
explained.
Ezra nodded in agreement.
“Come home with me, yeah?” Joelle asked.
