Zac rung Summer asking if her and Madge were free to come over for Sunday lunch at his place.
Summer immediately accepted the offer for herself and hollered out the question to Madge.
Madge bustled in to the room saying “Yes would love to, what does Zac want me to bring?”
They were on speaker.
“Absoloutley nothing except the two of you, my treat. I will pick you both up at 12 noon so you can have a tipple or two.”
“Well this is all very pleasant.” said Madge in the car “I wouldn't have minded cooking Zac, you know that don't you?”
“Trust me I have a Master Chef in my kitchen as we speak” said Zac chuckling.
They arrived at Zac's home. On entering Zac shouted out “Our guests are here.”
Summer and Madge just stared at each other.
With that a very large man walked in to the lounge and with a huge smile on his face said “Hye my name is Alex and you are Summer and Madge. It is wonderful to meet you.”
Summer dropped her bag and said “Not as wonderful as it is to meet you” hugging him in a burst of spontaneity.
“Geeze Mum let the man breathe” said Zac laughing.
Lunch was delicious which was all Alex's doing. He explained that he loved to cook and enjoyed trying out new recipes.
Madge nudged Zac saying “He looks like that and can cook as well, you lucky bugger.”
“I have news for you Mum you might be interested in. I have been made Partner” said Zac.
“This day just gets better and better” said Summer looking like she was going to explode from happiness. “Just let me know all the financial details and I will sort it out.”
“Don't have to do that Mum. I have been made full Partner on my own merit. So now you and Madge can go around the World if you so wish.”
“No thanks” both women said in unison.
