Celine, Kayla’s Parents Came by Before They Left
Later in the afternoon, while Mr. Nortreus was engaged in conversation with the two girls, their parents, who were searching for them, came and found them.
“Mother! Father! What are you doing here?” Celine exclaimed upon seeing her parents' approach.
“Sweetheart, we are heading home now,” both of her parents responded.
“We are leaving already,” she said.
“Do you know what time it is?”
“It’s late in the afternoon!”
“Let’s go!” Her father answered.
“Alright! Fine!” She replied.
“And who is this man and girl sitting beside you?” Her mother inquired.
“This is Kayla, and this is Mr. Nortreus!” She introduced them to her parents.
“Kayla is my friend from school,” she added.
“I know about Kayla, but who is this man?” Her father asked.
“His name is Mr. Nortreus,” she replied. “Mr. Nortreus, who could he possibly be?” Her mother questioned her.
“Oh, he is associated with the museum and the library,” her father explained.
