Despite having had the third best lifetime ERA and the third best single season ERA, the lowest lifetime ERA of any pitcher winning over 200 games, as well as having been integral to the Chicago Cub early 20th century dynasty, Mordecai Brown is THE most ignored great to ever play the game of baseball. That is true of both everyday fans and the “experts.” He was not put in
