It’s quite simple really. My name is Mave, Mave Mathers. I’d like to think of my adventures is just that, an adventure. It makes perfectly good sense to me. I’m like an unwavering kind of girl with a purpose to go explore interesting things in life. I never know what to expect and sometimes I can get into some pretty unusual unpredicted situations. I guess you can say that my life is never boring as I’m always making up for those situations. Don’t get me wrong.
I like trying different things. For example. Me and my older Brother Miles. We do share things in common
and he does that pecking order of siblings, you know, like sometimes ordering me around, and I know its for my best, after all he is two years older than me, he knows more than I do within those two years of obtained experience over me. And I do try my best to mind him as our parents said.
But he knows well of all my, S-I-T-U-A-T-I-O-N-S , but keeps to himself with one eye on me. I know this because I have heard him cracking little laughs after I’ve done so.
Mave, The Irish Lass One of our shared interests is irish dancing. Mother made sure we had classes and we are both very good at it. Very good indeed, as you can see.
But with me? By myself, I seem to be whimsy to show my over creative talent and just go for it.
Mave, The Self Reliant
My philosophy is this. If YOU want to do
something right the first time, YOU must do it
yourself.
As today’s modern woman does, I have my
own technique to much
hard earned work,
called, a job, career, call it what you want,
nevertheless, an
independent, self
reliant worker.
I’m very good at baking.
Umm, not so bad at it.
When I tried to bake, it
did not go quite right.
I’m sure I did good…I
just don’t know where
all the white cloud of
dust came from.
My chores keep me
busy. Take Laundry for
example. A very easy
task to do, just put in
my dirty clothes,
sprinkle in a few laundry soap, turn on washing
machine, let IT do its
job, and just wait and
watch.
What’s the big deal?
Just go get the vacuum
out of the closet, aim it at the floor, turn it on-GO FOR IT! But the
vacuum evacuated.
Mopping-Is so
easy, it does the
job itself-right?
Mave, The Brave
I always try doing my best to achieve the best in my life, so I signed up for a beauty contest.
I never thought of myself as a beauty
contestant, not sure
why I’m doing this, but
nonetheless, why not
try something different,
right?
So I put on my most outstanding dress and
hope for the best, but
regardless, win or lose, I rather like myself just as I am.
I have all the finery, the dress, jewelry, even the pleasantry attitude of a Miss Congeniality.
But it began to rain so I began to stroll to the
beauty contest.
So I became brave and ran in the rain, but the
rain came down upon
my hair as it became a
mess.
But I did not become distressed as I tried to
jump across the mud
puddle, but fell ankle
deep in the middle.
When I stepped out, I had discovered, a
pebble in my shoe, I
almost stumbled.
At first, I did not know what to do, I took a
minute to hesitate, all
soaked and wet, but I
chose to keep calm and
carry on.
But I was not late as I
made it into the room for a contestant.
I WON! As they put a
ribbon on me that read:
Miss-chievous!
Mave’s Prince
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Mave.
One day she sat thinking about her knight in shining armor. But instead, in her head, a prince will do.
How is that for today’s woman?
Now, I’m all for today’s women wanting their own job, career, call it what you want, but me?
What is wrong with wanting my knight in shining armor in today’s world? After all I’m good with some home chores as previously showed, and can possibly pick up a stick to fight off any thy enemy
in defense,….if the occasion called for it, but I could do with also what my heart wants.
Then suddenly this frog with a crown on its head came to my side smiling.
Then the frog leaped away From me.
Needless to say, I quickly got up from my chair to
swiftly run after it. I’m going to retrieve that frog, my prince to be.
I saw my frog prince On top of my bed.
But once again, he leaped, he fled.
Even my dog
named Scottie hid.
I saw the frog sitting on the edge of a water bucket. But his eyes did not wander,
when he saw me.
But once again, he leaped away from me.
AND….when I tried to grab him, then, I accidentally fell in.
BUT THEN, he came back leaping and landing on my knees-to lap, giving me a much happy look of love at last.
All of a sudden, the frog jumped from my knees and
onto the floor, as I saw in front me with such delight, my prince, my knight in
shining armor.
Mave’s Family
My family. My dad, mom, brother. What
can I say. They are the
world to me. I love
them. I’m not sure what
I’d do without them. But
this I do know. They will always be there for me.
