The Song Position
The Song Position appears as a vertical line across the staff.The Song Position pointer
When you open Score Edit, the view is automatically scrolled so that the Song Position is visible in the window. This means you don’t always see the beginning of the Track/Part when you first open Score Edit.
• You can move the Song Position by dragging it around.• You can also hold down the “Set Position” modifier keys (by default [Shift]+[Alt]) and click anywhere in the score to move the Song Position there.
This is handy if the Song Position pointer isn’t visible. You assign modifier keys for “Set Position” in the Preferences–General–Modifiers dialog.
