Friendship
Friendliness is never-ending. We are able to maintain our friendships even if we relocate to a different location or get a job in another country. We certainly do not divorce our friends simply because of a misunderstanding; so, if we addressed our spouse as a close friend, it is quite possible that we will never need to hire a divorce attorney and go through the dreadful process of getting a divorce.
Take This Action
It is imperative that every effort be made to ensure that our relationship is not just a lover and a partner, but also a friend. This is because love is not as long-lasting as friendship, which is more long-lasting. One of the most obvious signs of maturity is the development of friendships. The obligation of marriage is greater than life itself, and it can either be a source of annoyance or of pure joy. Only if we are able to transform those annoyances and pleasures into the foundation of a long-lasting friendship will we be able to say that we have chosen the path that leads to a marriage that was made in paradise.
When a husband and wife have a genuine friendship with one another, the marriage is less likely to be in danger of falling apart. Instead, it turns into a marriage that is so strong that no one or any circumstance can ever succeed in breaking it apart.
Because we chose the people who made us laugh the most, having friends in a union ensures that the union will be noteworthy with memories of fun and humor. After all, how could we not choose those friends? Similarly, friendship entails talking in an open and honest manner; it is a sort of relationship in which there are no restrictions placed on the relationship, in which our level of comfort with our partner exceeds one hundred percent, and in which it is guaranteed that what we say and how we say it will not be branded or interpreted in a condescending manner.
When couples are friends with one another, they experience feelings of good will and constancy that are more genuine. Our partner, who is also our friend, is concerned about us, will not cheat on us, and will be our most faithful supporter as we go through life together.
It is also true that friendship makes mates stronger; this durability is further strengthened by the joy of having a shared history, of feeling nostalgic, and of making plans for the future.
Romance is a wonderful thing, and when things go difficult in our relationships, we may find ourselves using a lot of it. However, mature friends are aware of the fact that
It's possible that romance is a barrier to friendship. To what end? Because romantic relationships tend to obscure the more negative aspects of our nature, such as our worries, anxieties, and insecurities. On the other hand, it is precisely these concerns, anxieties, and insecurities that cause us to gravitate toward our friend.
It is not familiarity that gives rise to contempt. It generates new stuff. There is a correlation between a feeling of happiness and feelings of warmth, satisfaction, and firm certainty. Participating in a life together in love and friendship results in a book that is richer and more thick in terms of the shared history and material that it contains.
If you were to ask a man who is happy in his bachelorhood and a man who is happy in his marriage to each take turns writing their stories, you would receive a positive narration from both of them. The position of the single person, on the other hand, would be "I, me, and myself," with the possibility of following a series of blind dates and spending Saturday nights by themselves. As a result of the fact that there are two stories, rather than just one, the spouse will talk about "us," which refers to the interests that both of them share.
The institution of marriage is a commitment, and individuals are obligated to make every effort to avoid diminishing that bond in any manner, despite the fact that it may sound extremely archaic. Staying married is a missionary-like endeavor that lasts a lifetime on average. It requires a lot of guts. If you want a union to be successful, you need to have steel nerves. We might be able to persevere in that work if we have a sense of humor and a more modest degree of egotism.
There will be a great number of obstacles, and there will be times when we will question our sanity and wonder if we genuinely have the ability to persevere through them.
The same attributes that drew you to your partner on the very first day you were together will require a significant amount of effort on your part if you want to maintain that attraction. Your partner is still the same person you fell in love with; he has not changed his soul or his existence; the only thing that has changed is his choice of clothing.
