Outside, the wind rustles the shutters with a gentle insistence, as if trying to wake the house from its own reverie.
Inside, time folds in on itself. High on the wall hangs a framed, circular print of an unsigned still life, its back indicating 8/300.
The room is a pocket of stillness, where Finn's dreams mingle with the ghosts of revolutionaries, orchard keepers, and itinerant poets.
