The Ministry tried to retaliate with their final weapon: the Algorithm of Absolute Earnestness. But it backfired. The algorithm, exposed to recursive irony, collapsed into a paradox loop and began generating dad jokes at random.

And so, the Republic of Measured Mirth fell; not with a bang, but with a perfectly timed spit-take. The seriousness economy was replaced by the Ritual Index, where joy was measured not in GDP but in giggle density per capita.
