So when modern institutions frame tribalism as a failure of diversity, they're often missing the point. Tribalism isn't anti-diversity; it's pre-diversity, much as sexuality pre-dated homosexuality. It's what happens before the idea of universalism even enters the chat.

And here's the twist. Tribalism can be both beautiful and brutal. It can preserve endangered languages and rituals, but it can also calcify into exclusion, xenophobia, and mythic superiority. The question isn't whether tribalism is natural; it's whether we can evolve it without erasing it.

The Canticle Realms

The world is divided not by borders, but by verses. Each tribe is a living poem, passed orally from ancestor to child, revised with each generation's sorrow and joy. To belong is to know your stanza; to recite it in the wind, to dance it in the rain, to weep it into the soil.
