A world untouched by the gospel of globalism; a mosaic of insular tribes, each fiercely proud, stubbornly rooted, and wholly uninterested in melting into anything.
In this world, diversity was not a virtue; it was an offense and a threat. The planet was once divided into thousands of sovereign ethno-cultural microstates, each one a self-contained mythos. Borders were sacred, not porous. Migration was taboo, not celebrated. The Irish Isles spoke only in Gaelic, worshipped the wind, and believed potatoes were divine intermediaries. The Polish Highlands revered pigs feet and pierogi as sacramental offerings and held annual rituals to honor the ghosts of lost consonants.
