5. The Chandelier Is the Final Arbiter - It sways to approve, flickers to warn, and occasionally drops a crystal in judgment. When it stills, the ritual is suspended. When it spins, someone has lied.
6. Witnesses Must Not Intervene - Susie and Finn may observe, sketch, hum, or rearrange crumbs; but direct participation voids their role. They are sacred perusers, not annotated participants.
7. Unlit Candles Mark the Unspoken - Every candle left unlit represents a truth withheld. The Archivist tracks these in salt. Lighting one without permission is considered a declaration of war.
8. Time Is Measured in Regret - There are no clocks. Time passes only when someone expresses remorse, even performatively. The Mariner's sighs move the evening forward.
