intervene. Here, Susie and Finn might find toys arranged in symmetrical refusal, each one a failed attempt to explain the void.
4. The Chapel – Psalm 46:1 as Sacred Inscription - “God is our refuge and strength ..... ” becomes the castle’s cornerstone. Not because it offers comfort, but because it’s the only line that survives the collapse. It’s carved above the hearth, not to warm, but to remind. The chapel doesn’t heal, it witnesses.
5. The Archive – The Song’s Inclusion Without Annotation - You didn’t ask for it, but it entered anyway. That’s the castle’s final trick. It absorbs what’s sung in earnest. The song becomes part of the mythic infrastructure not by intention, but by inevitability.
Let us map the castle’s acoustics not as passive echoes, but as active ritual responses; each chamber tuned to a specific emotional frequency, each corridor a conduit for mythic resonance. This is no mere architectural sketch; it’s a choreography of utterance and refusal.
