have come together without you."
She smirked, looping her arm through his and pulling him closer. "It wouldn’t have come together without us."
Lucien squeezed her hand, a quiet warmth settling in him. The road ahead was unknown, uncertain.
But for the first time, he felt like he was walking toward something —not away from it.

They stopped near the edge of the plaza, where the road leading out of the sector stretched into the vast unknown.
Lucien fingers flexed at his sides. Behind them, the sector stirred with life—distant voices, the occasional clang of metal, the steady murmur of a place that would continue.
"You ready?" Lyra asked, her voice light but steady.
He turned to her, searching her face, finding nothing but certainty.
"Yeah," he said. "I’m ready."
Together, they stepped onto the road.
The sounds of the sector faded behind them, swallowed by distance, until all that remained was the rhythm of their footsteps. Lucien glanced back, his eyes lingering where Leona, Corin, and Harun stood, watching them go.
A pang of regret cut through him—sharp, fleeting. He held it before letting it slip away.
"Don’t look back," Lyra said, her tone gentle but firm. "We’re moving forward."
Lucien nodded, facing ahead. The horizon stretched out before them, vast and endless. The universe whispering to him, calling him forward.
Lyra glanced at him with curiosity. "So," she said, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Where are we going?"
Lucien ’s steps slowed. His gaze lifted, locking onto the heavens, the infinite sprawl of possibilities beyond the stars.
"Wherever beyond the stars takes us." The words settled over him like a promise. He turned to Lyra, a slow grin breaking across his face.
"Starlight Unbound."
Lyra ’s smile widened as the road stretched on before them, limitless and full of possibility.
And together, they stepped into the unknown.
