STARLIGHT UNBOUND
Secure resources. Plan the next strike. This isn ’t about making noise—it’s about building momentum.”
Corin leaned against the table. His frustration hadn’t disappeared, but something in his stance softened.
“We’ve done enough for one night,” he muttered. “Let’s see if it actually matters. ”
The starburst on the monitor was still spinning, a quiet defiance.
Lyra turned back to the room, her voice steady. “The message is out there now. Let’s give people time to respond. To think. That’s what the Order is afraid of—the moment people start thinking for themselves.”
Harun smirked, though his tone held an edge. “And if they don’t? What if people … go back to their routines?”
Her expression sharpened. “Some will. Some will be too scared. But not all of them.”
She met Harun ’s eyes, her words deliberate. “Once you see the lies you’ve been fed, you can ’t unsee them.”
Jaris folded his arms, his expression thoughtful. “This isn’t just about what we do next. It’s about what they do. The rebellion doesn’t belong to us anymore. It belongs to the people.”
He glanced around the room. “Let’s see what they do with it.”
Lucien let out a slow breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
It ’s bigger than us now.
The stars were still there. And so were the people.
Maybe that was enough.
For now.

The confrontation from earlier had settled into the walls, quiet but not forgotten.
The rebels moved through the safehouse in tired, automatic motions— checking supplies, patching up bruises, securing their space for the night.
Lyra moved through the room, mentally checking off their inventory. She studied the map Jaris had marked earlier once more, before she reached out and deactivated the projection.
Harun yawned, stretching lazily from where he stood near Selene and Aarik, who were double-checking their comms.
“If I don’t get horizontal soon,” Harun muttered, rubbing his face, “I’m going to start snoring right here. ”
