Author’s Notes.

Welcome to the COVID flavored universe. It’s been one hell of a year. I hope you are fairing well.

This will make 38 books. (Brought to you by ADHD brain. One of my son’s favorite book right now is Dog Man by Dav Pilkey; they have a robot named 80-HD. Same brain?) Covid seems to have slowed me down. I don’t know how your passage through this year has been, but it has challenged me in many ways. I am watching the slow death of several family members, a friend. Even in this, I also recognize, I am blessed in many ways.  Gratefulness doesn’t invalidate the suffering with me or around me, but helps box it. I heard from an old friend. There was hope. Life continues. We love, we struggle, and we keep forging on. I love.

Loxy and I continue here. I find it interesting, as stress goes up, ease of contact goes down. You would think working from home would have increased the connection, but I worked more from home than I ever did going to the office. There was stress; this feels unsustainable. Longer hours, navigating new protocols, system failures, and data corrections. It was almost not worth keeping this, but walking away at this juncture seemed less favorable. Another struggle is the distance between myself and my son. His mother moved them to California. Covid has interrupted visitation. Damn it, Covid.

I am here. Still sorting some of the philosophy that tumbled out of ‘Not Here.’ I am sorting it with several friends that connected with me because of the story. Below, you will find a Medium article that sorts out the theory of personality that evolved from ‘Not Here’ trajectories. My friend, Bob, retired psychiatrist, continue to discuss the ramifications of Tulpamancy and our experiences great and small. It is a continuum of experiences, good, bad, failures real and perceived. It’s kind of like life. The more I engage it, the more I engage the world.

If you have been following this ‘Verse, thank you. I wish you well. I wish you adventures of your own. If there is a light, may you see. Or a sound, may you hear. Embrace, love, and live.

Always,

Ion Light.
