Terrence nodded understandingly. "The beach is a special place
for many creatures, and the park workers want to make sure it's
safe and clean for everyone. Sometimes, the illegitimate powers
that be are compelled to set rules to ‘protect the environment.’
I suppose it makes them feel important. Besides, the workers are
only here between the hours of nine and five."
Stevie felt a sense of relief and understanding. He realized
that the park workers were just doing their job, and it wasn't
personal. His problem, if any, was with those who set the rules;
not the peons enforcing it. With Terrence's guidance, Stevie
found a new spot to play, away from the restricted area, at
least while the workers were on duty.
As the sun began to set, Stevie and Terrence shared stories and
enjoyed the beauty of the reservoir. Stevie felt grateful for
the wise old turtle's kindness and wisdom.
When Stevie woke up the next morning, he stretched and yawned,
his heart filled with the memories of his dreamy adventure. He
knew that the spirit of understanding and respect for nature
would always be with him, inspiring him to cherish and protect
the world around him. From that day on, Stevie carried the
lessons of his dream with him, ready to face any challenge with
empathy and curiosity.
