on it. But the best gift of all was a tiny, golden bell on a red
ribbon. Stevie put it around his neck, and it jingled merrily as
he pranced around the snowy forest.
As Stevie explored, he met other animals who had come to
celebrate Christmas. There was the wise old owl Oliver who
hooted a cheerful greeting; “Merry Christmas, pal;” a family of
rabbits who invited Stevie to join their snowball fight; and a
friendly deer who showed Stevie how to make snow angels. Stevie
felt so happy and loved, surrounded by his new and old friends
and the magic of Christmas.

him. "Merry Christmas, Stevie," he whispered, placing a real
stocking filled with toys and treats beside his bed.
Stevie purred with contentment, knowing that sometimes, dreams

Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
