21 AN ULTRA VIOLENT FAIRY TALE
Paradine took a long deep breath. His headache was coming on strong again, he could feel his heart beating through his head. Each beat of his heart made his vision blur momentarily, he closed his eyes and was so quiet the underling spoke again thinking he hadn’t been heard.
“Sir, we found the captain.”
He didn’t answer, he just walked by him and went down the steps. Paradine walked quickly towards the main building, before he could ask where the captain currently was he was being pushed out roughly by one of his men. He held a cloth to the back of his head which looked to have been bleeding profusely though he looked fine now, animated even.
He pushed back, though weakly, on the soldier that shoved him. The captain gave him the bird and a very loud fuck you for his troubles.
“You’re a piece of shit corporal, I was doing this job before you knew which way to put on your mothers panties.”
Although that was a funny remark, Paradine held his laugh in and allowed the corporal to give him a punch in the kidneys. He fell down with a howling grunt of pain and gasped for breath as the corporal raised his foot to give him a kick.
“That’s enough.” Paradine said easily.
The captain got up in an attempt to rush the soldier but he was immediately grabbed by two more soldiers who took an arm each. Paradine approached him slowly, his stomach rolled over at how his neck was drenched in blood and some still flowed from his head wounds.
“If you’re gonna kill me Chief Marshal, then quit fucking around and do it.” he said, sounding defiant.
“You know who escaped?”
“Yeah, of course I do. It was a fairy uh...named gutter ball or something like that. Bitch bit into my fucking head like it was an apple.”
“An unnatural. She knows magic, remember. You’re responsible for everything that happens here.”
