We took our positions. I was shaking as hel for maybe this is the last time I wil see the night.

There was the blue light coming fast to us.

“Is there anything to avoid those magnetos?” asked a partner beside me.

“Government is working on it” answered our lieutenant on our backs.

Blue light, lights off. Po disappeared, again. Bul ets and brief lightings everywhere. Loud shots.

Bul ets make so much more noise than laser guns, the lighting they make is far more aggressive and a lot more messy. Also bul et wounds are so much bloody than laser shots. So only some minutes into the fight, blood was scattered al over the place aslong with human parts. As I fired back, I saw trol s running for the wal below us, climbing, behind them gigantic trol s with big steel hammers. But behind al of them there were the elves. Ful y suited in black armor.

“Focus on the trol s! kil them! Trol s are wearing armor, our guns are useless” Lieutenant screamed orders for us. But everything was in vain. We kil ed the trol s, yes but they managed to bring down the wal with their hammers. Once they did, the remaining trol s and elf army came inside and everything was over for us.

“Why the fuck we weren’t ready for this attack?” asked a soldier beside me before we had to jump off the wal and run for our lives.

They breached the city. Orcs and giant trol s are extremely effective in close quarters combat.

Very hard to kil and evade. They went inside buildings, not through the doors but bringing down the wal s. Apartments and offices, kil ing everyone. Families, civilians, military personnel, police officers, firefighters, emercency personnel and everything on their path. We managed to take some cover but our positions lasted less than 10 minutes until we had to retrieve again and regroup deeper into the city. Then we reached the city hal where we made our last stand. Elves were now inside the city and were giving orders. I saw them. They were tal but their suits covered their bodies, even the head and face. Motherfuckers.

As everything was about to get lost, a large growl came from behind us. Dragons. They flew over us and breathed fire over our enemies. Flames burned down the elves. Loud growls, shiny yel ow eyes. Majestic beasts. Our military has a fucking dragon to fight the elves. Secret emperor’s plan for a magneto strike. Bril iant but deadly for us the survivors, since dragons 122

cannot be tamed they just kil everything they see. Then the military wil fire hundreds of rockets into them for the kil . Have seen it before. War tactics for when everything is lost.

And so it happened. I saw when orcs and trol s and enemy elf soldiers got burned alive. Then rockets were fired over us into our own dragons which were kil ed after several strikes. Dragons are very tough. When everything was over, only me and a few dozen soldiers were alive. No superiors, only us.

We walked into the burned battlefield but something was wrong. Through the burned black suits melted, their skin was visible. Some were kil ed with bul ets which we uncovered their faces.

“These are not elves,” someone said. “What is going on?”

As we were investigating the scene, a NO Hovercraft landed in front of us. The only flying vehicle with lights working in a large radius. What the fuck?

It landed and a dozen droids got out fol owed by an officer.

“What the fuck is the NO doing here on a war battlefield?” someone said. “Where is our general?”

Droids turned their lights red and pointed their guns at us.

While we were in confusion, we dropped our guns and lifted our hands in sign of submission.

The sensation i had of dying tonight never went away and it is stronger now

“Alright, alright” said the incoming officer “Thank you for submitting your guns with no violence, for it would only have been a waste of time … and bul ets.” He said in a proud way.

“My name is New Order Officer Gary Fischer and I owe you the truth about tonight.” He said. His voice sounds like he’s having fun. “Is the least I can do for you right now before proceeding with our world agenda guys.”

Gary pointed his gun at me. A modern adaptation of an old Luger, the ones preferred by the NO.

He looked at my eyes and said: “I’m sorry girl. There is no war. There are no elves. Thank you for your service.” He said before I heard a loud bang and felt a lot of pressure expanding in the back of my skul . Darkness.
