We arrived at Barbara, the capital city of the Air Province inside Brodel. Our ships dominated the sky in a fierce battle which was fought in the water, the air and on the ground as we stepped down on the beach into the elf nation. Civilians ran away from us but we had orders to shoot them in a - necessary-war-cruelty-maneuver - as The Emperor commanded. Did it remorse my mind a little? Yes it did, but orders are orders, so we kil ed every businessman having a coffee, every police officer protecting citizens, every local shop owner there was, i only avoided taking gunshots at little kids and i think my col eagues did the same for i saw more of them making it away from us. They wil die in a moment anyway. Our surprise attack was destined to be a success, their military was a couple kilometers away from us and our objective was only to sow terror into their nation. After the downtown was deserted HQ cal ed us back into the ships for retrieval. As we flew away a bright flash blinded the sight. Emperor Bomb in the heart of Air City even for us is regrettable. Mission success. The Emperor's plan was perfect in war speaking strategies. Their own news showed us at the heart of their city making terror then the deathly blast. Retaliation for Blue City’s dirty invasion. Truth is, they attacked first, so there they have it.

That was soem months ago during my first mission. today, I am a more experienced soldier and I am stationed on the Eastern side of Tantra in the Black Province some hundred kilometers away from Black City and its majestic wal s. This is the Eastern front. You go further, only death awaits.

My post is in one of the towers. Tantra built a wal thousand of kilometers long to divide the eastern border. I am some 30 meters above ground so I can see almost everything that comes.

It is a big, big desert. There is a non official agreement in this land. Tantra doesn’t go beyond here and Brodel doesn’t come beyond their lines. But the tension has been always high and military units are always in defense positions.

“I'm so bored,” Said Po.

Everyone in the military has a Holo buddy which is an extension of yourself. It learns through the years. It is always with you. You can choose any kind of animal, figure and shape you want.

I chose a Panda. I don’t know why. I named him Po and he is my best and only friend. Little cute holographic friend flying around.

“Only one hour until we’re done,” I told Po.

“Do you prefer me to be a dragon or a panda?” asked Po.

“Never thought about it” What the fuck? “You cannot change your form, factory default settings.”

“Yes but I saw how you looked at other holo dragons,” He said, looking at his feet in shame.

“Don’t worry Po, pandas are cool, dragons are annoying, we need to remain on the watch since there was a warning of enemy close units earlier today.
