It didn't know what witnessing meant. But it felt; if a robot can feel, that it was important.
3 – Lemmy’s Typical Day
Lemmy Idle's days have a strange, drifting geometry to them; like time is a soft material he can press his thumb into without resistance.
Morning (or whatever he calls "morning")
Lemmy usually wakes up sometime after noon, not because he's rested, but because the sunlight has finally crawled across the room and landed directly on his face. He groans, rolls over, and mutters something about curtains. One of the robots - Unit 3, the one with the polite voice, glides in and lowers the blinds without being asked.
A glass of something cold and fizzy is already waiting on the bedside table. Lemmy doesn't remember asking for it, but the robots track his habits with unnerving precision.
He drinks. He sighs. He checks nothing in particular on his tablet. Then he falls back asleep for another hour, before entering the kitchen.
