“Dad, daddy do you both know where the hell is Rahul, he should have been here with me. He knows I hate these things and no I am tired of calling he has not switched his phone on yet. What place have his bosses sent him. I am going to create a major ruckus there after leaving from here.”

“Mira you need to come with me to pay your last respects to...”

I didn’t let him complete his sentence, I don’t know why but I just did not want to hear what he had to say.

“No dada (I only ever call him when I am upset or scared and I don’t even realise but he does because I see tears in his eyes) I am not going near the body. I will say farewell from here. You know I never go near the departed so please I am staying here. I am going to try calling Rahul again, I think I am going to call his office and speak to his second in command what’s his name Amit no Abhi no,no I think it is Abhishek. Ya let me speak to him and then I will be back.”

I saw familiar faces all around, I thought I even saw Mrs.

Chawla but why would she be here. Everyone is watching me, but I just don’t acknowledge their presence. I am just surprised to why these people are here, how are they all related to the person. God, I noticed some guys from Rahul’s office, huh what are they doing here. Oh they are here on his behalf, hmm could be. I really need to ask them where is he, he should be here not them. I am going towards them when I hear Aashi call out-

“..Mira di, Mira di.. wait”

I stop, waiting for her to come wondering why?
