*Malachi*

At the end of the old songs,

a promise shined.

The sun of righteousness

rose with healing in its wings,

and I bathed in its light,

casting off the last shadows of her memory. No longer bound,

no longer bitter.

I walk now into morning,

loved,

broken,

and whole again.
