Chapter four

Building the Inner Temple

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1-2

To become vessels suitable for the Master's use, we must present our bodies as a living sacrifice. Our body (temple) must be holy and acceptable to God because that is what the Holy Spirit expects of us. God has called us out of this corrupt world to be a light to the world. We must not conform to the corrupt practices of this world. Rather, we must renew our minds daily with God’s word (the Holy Bible).

Every tree that bears fruit has a root. The root is the foundation of the tree. If the root is strong, the tree, its leaves, and its fruits can withstand the storms. The root can also determine the kind of fruit it brings forth. In the same way, we must work on our roots. The physical body is a container of the inner temple. We must first work on the inner temple by living in holiness.

Holiness means giving ourselves to the Lord and His church. Holiness means separation from the world and its corrupt system. To live in holiness means to submit to the righteousness of Christ Jesus and pursue God’s kingdom. In every kingdom, there are rules and regulations. To become an active member of that kingdom, you have to follow its laws.

When you repent from your sin and confess Christ Jesus as the Savior and Lord of your life, He gives you the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures as a guide. By studying and applying the principles in the Holy Scriptures, the Holy Spirit builds you. The more you avail yourself for the Holy Spirit to build you, the more He imparts His virtues into you.

…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

When you become one with the Holy Spirit, you grow in love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, patience, faith, meekness, and temperance. If the inner temple is humble, full of love, and possesses the fruits of the Holy Spirit, the outer temple will not struggle to dominate the lustful desires of the flesh and corrupt systems of the world. Analyze people who have built their inner temple, and you will see the fruits of the Holy Spirit manifesting in their lives. These Christians have crucified the desires of the flesh. Build the inner temple by building a strong relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Download and read my books on the Holy Spirit for a more profound revelation.
