GLORY HERE AND NOW!

There is glory presently, and divinely provided for men. Focusing upon it long enough to understand it will bring lasting joy to the Christian’s heart. Think for a moment about it!

A learned professor of a given discipline, an exalted scientist, a proven financial wizard, a renowned medical expert, all command attention from masses of men. They have something to tell, to share, or help to provide to others who do not know. Those having achieved such high levels of attainment walk confidently in their understanding. It is their glory among peers as well as among those who benefit from them.

Far from being destitute of such glory, the people of God’s covenant excel not just in terrestrial, but in the ever increasing glory of the celestial. I reference “the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory,” that Paul penned to the Church at Corinth, I Cor. 2:7.

The argument of Paul is that the things of man are known by the spirit of man, and the things of God by the Spirit of God which is within God’s people. Therefore, they are able to compare spiritual things with spiritual.

Paul concluded the second chapter of I Corinthians with a question followed by its answer. “Who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct (coalesce, and teach it to others)? but we have the mind of Christ (The Anointed One).” Moreover, that mind is to be in us in all joy and wisdom (glory).

Solomon made much of this requisite by outlining its process. The words are “Knowledge,” “Understanding,” and “Wisdom.” There is progression here. One cannot understand, nor employ the best usage of what he does not know. Consequently, knowledge is primary. Get knowledge! Lots of it! The source of it is the fear of the Lord, and the pursuit of Him in His Holy Word. Next, study to understand what you know, then correctly coalesce through right divisions to proper application (wisdom) both for self and in instruction to others.

There is uniqueness of joy and glory in knowing and understanding one’s salvation, security, and hope in the promises of Holy Writ. It is the glory of studied, obedient transformation to the Word by which one walks confidently, and is ready to instruct the mind of the Lord to others. That, my friends, is glory, and unlike the glory of terrestrial things, it will ever increase throughout the eons of eternity.

The war against study and meditation time is pulling out all stops. It is imperative that the servants of the Lord not fall victim of it. Too many have
