Word” mentality. It is better to coalesce reasonable, bible support, than to change what is said to fit an accepted line of theology. Either way, what difference does it make? Not much except one way is right and another is wrong, just the difference between right and wrong!
FOR THOUGHT: A good thing to do is to research the numbers of people baptized by John the Baptist, then compare that number to the approximately 120 disciples assembled together on the day of Pentecost. Do you agree that Jesus wants all of His disciples to be active in His New Testament Church? Are you doing that?
