Here, then is something truly profound. The very peace that keeps the Lord Jesus Christ is the peace He offers to His people who will learn His Word, submit to it, and walk in it. It is a peace that the apostle Paul says, “...passes all understanding.” Phil 4:7.
FOR THOUGHT: God’s peace is not unconditional. It is for obedient people. Expect adversity, expect troubles, they are promised. Still, one may bask in the peace of God! It is God’s conditional gift.
