FALLEN = DEGENERATE

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that,

when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Genesis 6:4

It still amazes me after all these years how those who palm themselves off to others as biblically intelligent continue to foster such horrible lies as this: they insist that Genesis 6 tells of fallen angels cohabiting with women, creating the situation that caused God to destroy the earth with a flood. So, if the subject at hand appears to others to be labored, it is because error demands refutation, and the truth of the Word is here offered as such. Please think!

The phrases “sons of God” and “daughters of men” allude to the

two lineages of people on earth at that time. The descendants of Cain were called the sons of men while the descendants of Seth were known as the sons of God. What really happened?

The Bible is plain! As men began to really multiply on earth, there were many quite beautiful women in the population, especially in the lineage of Cain. So, forsaking their own lineage, the sons of Seth (sons of God) began to cohabit with the daughters of Cain, and that without moral restraint. The general population of earth became overtly sensual,and incestual, resulting in a genetic breakdown, producing a wide number of variations.

It is true that the term “giants” in verse 4 is translated from an unusual word (not one of the ordinary terms for giant). This word literally means “fallen ones.” However, the term “fallen” does not indicate angelic beings holy or unholy. It does point out a problem of genetic aberration which is underscored again in the same verse. There were great men as well as idiots and freaks of various sorts due to the genetic breakdown. Even cattlemen are aware that their prize bull may not continue to service his offspring without genetic aberrations devaluing the herd.

Let it be remembered that angels do not possess procreative organs by which they may be identified by sex. Matthew 22:24-30 relates such details given straight from the lips of Jesus. So, why is this nonsense still perpetrated in our time? It is not that all who do such are insincere. Perhaps it is as Jesus said: “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures…” Perhaps it is because this smacks of sensationalism, and is sure to sell books of little value.
