Introduction

Many a conversation has been had around the ‘sins

issue’ and how, or if, it impacts our eternal well-being.

Will we go to heaven if we are good enough? Will we

go to hell if we are bad? Will we go to heaven if our

good outweighs our bad? Surely, I’ll be ok if I’m better

than the next person; or better than most people? Is

God sufﬁciently pleased with me that He will permit

me into heaven? What about if I give to charity; will

that give me entry into heaven? What about black

and white sins; greater and lesser sins? What does it

take to get to heaven? What about my sins?

The questions, dialogues, and even arguments have

gone on for centuries. As is the case in all matters,

we will ﬁnd that the Bible has the answer on any and

every matter.

This book will liberate you, for it clearly looks at the

issue of our sins and ‘The ONE SIN’ that keeps us

from heaven, and sends us to hell. - You too could

also say; ‘The One Sin’ that keeps us from a sweet,

continuous, unbroken, and intimate relationship with

God.

We too will see how God views sins.

This book will have a primary focus on the three

convictions of the Holy Spirit; who we are in Christ;

who we are in our spirit-man; and what we have

attained in Christ.

Chapter One –

There’s ONLY One Sin.

Let’s dive straight into it – Since the victory of Jesus

at the cross, and by His wonderful, powerful, and

victorious resurrection from the dead, our sins are not

an issue with God; our sin is! Let’s explain: -

In John chapter 16 we read of what Jesus said the Holy

Spirit’s (or the Helper’s) function would be after He/

Jesus had been to the cross, had been resurrected,

and had ascended back to heaven, and sent the Holy

Spirit.

John 16v5-11

“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of

you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because

I have said these things to you, sorrow has ﬁlled your

heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your

advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away,

the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will

send Him to you.

convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of

judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in

Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father

and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the

ruler of this world is judged.”

And when He has come, He will

In this portion of scripture Jesus is talking to His

disciples only hours before He would be apprehended

by the Roman soldiers, falsely tried, and hanged on

the cross to fulﬁl the purpose for which He came.

Jesus explains that it would be to our advantage if

He ascends back to heaven, for it is only then that

He could send the Holy Spirit to us. Amidst the many

very good reasons as to why it would be to our

advantage that He sends the Holy Spirit, one is that

the Holy Spirit would bring three convictions with

Him. These convictions would come because of what

Jesus attained for mankind on the cross.

(This book will look at these three convictions

and expound on them by scripture).

Jesus then describes the three most important

functions, or convictions, of the Holy Spirit; in verses

8-11 above.

In verse 8 we see the three things the Holy Spirit will

convict mankind of: -

1. He will convict of sin.

2. He will convict of righteousness.

3. He will convict of judgement.

In verse 9 Jesus re-introduces the three different

convictions of the Holy Spirit but now explains to

whom they will apply.

1. He will convict the ‘world’ of sin.

2. He will convict the ‘believer’ of righteousness.

3. He will convict the ‘believer’ that Satan has been

judged/defeated.

The word convict means to make known, to draw

attention to, to convince, or to persuade someone of

an undeniable fact or truth that is to their advantage

and beneﬁt.

A. The ﬁrst conviction of the Holy Spirit is to convict

the ‘world’ of sin. This conviction is only directed at

the world. Jesus then describes what, or who, the

world is. The world is the unbeliever, or you could

say is someone who is not a born-again believer.

- The Holy Spirit ‘only’ convicts the world, or

‘unbeliever’, of sin! The word sin here is written

in the singular and not the plural. There is

ONLY ONE SIN that the Holy Spirit convicts

the world/the unbeliever of, and it is that he/

she does not yet believe in Jesus.

- The Holy Spirit is continually saying to the

world – “Believe in Jesus; He is the answer to

your salvation and every matter or situation

in your life. Believe in Jesus, and healing,

restoration, direction, and purpose will become

apparent. Believe in Jesus; He is the solution

to your sins, pain, and suffering. Believe in

Jesus, He is the only way to heaven. Believe

in Jesus.”

John 16v9

“of sin, because they do not believe in Me.”

- The one and only sin that the Holy Spirit

convicts the world of is that theydo not believe

in Jesus!!

- The Holy Spirit does not convict the

unbeliever, let alone the believer, of his/her

many and variable sins in plurality! – Satan

does that; see scripture below: -

Revelation 12v11

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in

heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and

the kingdom of our God, and the power of His

Christ have come, for the accuser of our

brethren, who accused them before our God

day and night, has been cast down.

- Satan, not the Holy Spirit, is the accuser!

Satan is the one who endeavors to point out

our sins and make us feel guilty, ashamed,

condemned, and judged.

(Note - We will look deeper into this scripture a little

later in this book)

There is Only One Sin that keeps you from heaven

and sends you to hell, and that is the singular SIN of

not believing in Jesus. From the moment you put

your belief in Jesus you are not going to hell, and you

are deﬁnitely going to heaven; case closed! From the

moment you put your belief in Jesus ALL your sins in

plurality are under the blood of Jesus.

Romans 10v9

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus

and believe in your heart that God has raised Him

from the dead, you will be saved. For with the

heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the

mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the

Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be

put to shame.”

Whoever, believes in Jesus, will be born again and

is heaven bound. Furthermore; whoever believes in

Jesus has received so very, very much as the rest of

this book seeks to convey.

Chapter Two -

What about my sins – My sins in plurality?

Let’s look at God’s view of your many and various

sins in plurality post the cross of Jesus.

God’s view of your many and various sins is based

expressly on the Person of Jesus Christ and what He

would attain by coming to the world and going to the

cross.

John 1v29

29

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him,

and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away

the sin of the world!”

Jesus came to the earth to take away the sin of all

the world. This was the mission, or purpose, for why

Jesus came. God sent Jesus to earth to take away

the sin of the whole world.

Hebrews 8v12

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and

their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no

more.”

The meaning of the word merciful, or mercy, is to not

get what we deserve. Accordingly, the writer to the

Hebrews says God will not remember our sins! Jesus

buried our sins in the tomb; they remain buried by the

ﬁnished and complete work of Jesus.

The sins of every individual; every person, throughout

the history of all humanity, have been forgiven and

forgotten by God in their entirety. In the eyes of God,

there are no sins in the world for Jesus dealt with

them and buried them in the tomb. The issue is not

our sins; the issue is we don’t believe and so our sins

‘illegally’ remain. Jesus has taken away all our sins,

and as soon as we put our belief in Him this truth

becomes our personal and eternal reality.

Satan so wants us to remember our sins so that he

can condemn us and make us feel guilty and defeated.

The Holy Spirit, however, is continually reminding us

of our being righteous; IE our new status in Christ.

If God does not remember our sins at all, then we

would do well to not remember them either. To

remember something God has forgotten is not only

futile but somewhat unwise. I want to remember what

God remembers, and forget what God has forgotten.

Jesus has dealt with my sins, God has forgotten my

sins, and I choose to do the same.

Psalm 103v12

“As far as the east is from the west, So far has

He removed our transgressions from us.”

As far as the east is from the west paints a picture of

eternity. Our sins have been removed as far as the

extent of all eternity; IE our sins are gone. They no

longer exist in the eyes of God, for they have been

taken away by Jesus. What Jesus takes away, God

does not bring back - Such an action on the part of God

would not only undermine what Jesus accomplished

at the cross but would be an anti-Christ action.

Isaiah 1v16

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as

white as snow.”

Our sins are now as white as snow; IE they no longer

exist in the eyes of God, for they have been washed

away by the blood of Jesus. What Jesus has washed

away is gone once and for all. Jesus did not do a

temporary or partial job at the cross; Jesus did a 100%

complete job at the cross once and for all eternity.

Our sins are not the issue; our wrong memory; or

memorizing of our sins is the issue.

2 Corinthians 5v17-19

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation; old things have passed away; behold, all

things have become new. Now all things are of

God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus

Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19

that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world

to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them,

and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

From the moment we have put our belief in Jesus our

sins are no more; for they have been dealt with by

Jesus. Our sins are not imputed to us. We have

become justiﬁed – The word justiﬁed means ‘Just as

if I’d’ never sinned.

As long as we remember our sins, we empower the

enemy to condemn us and beat us up mentally and

emotionally. Accordingly, we empower the accuser to

wrongfully and illegally accuse, judge, and condemn

us.

The devil is called the father of all lies. He is referred

to as one who deceives. You can therefore be sure

that whatever he accuses you of will be deceit and

lies. If he makes you feel you are a sinner, you are

to know that you are being deceived, or that you are

believing a lie.

Chapter Three -

Jesus did not judge the sins of the people.

Other than in the case of the Pharisees; IE the ones

whoperpetuallypointedoutthesinsofothers,accused,

and judged them, Jesus never judged people for their

sins. Let’s look at two primary examples of this.

1. The woman caught in the very act of adultery.

John 8v1-11

“But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Now early

in the morning He came again into the temple, and all

the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught

them.

Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had

set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this

woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such

should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they

said, testing Him, that they might have something of

which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and

wrote on the ground with His ﬁnger, as though He did

not hear.

So when they continued asking Him, He raised

Himself up and said to them, “He who is without

sin among you, let him throw a stone at her ﬁrst.”

8

And again He stooped down and wrote on the

ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted

9

by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning

with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left

alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10

When

Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the

woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those

accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

11

She said, “No one, Lord.”

12

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you;

go and sin no more.”

There is so much to say as regards the above portion

of scripture, yet let’s stay with the context of this book.

The ﬁrst thing Jesus dealt with in this context was to

remove all accusation, condemnation, and judgement

fromtheenvironment. OnceeveryscribeandPharisee

was removed; IE ALL accusation, judgment, and

condemnation were removed, Jesus engaged the

woman who was caught in the very act of adultery.

Jesus only then asks the woman, “Woman, where

are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned

you?”

The woman replied, “No one, Lord.”

Jesus then replied, “Neither do I condemn you;

go and sin no more.”

Once Jesus had removed the accusation,

condemnation, and judgement of the Pharisees He

then reiterates that He does not accuse or condemn

her either!

Now that accusation and condemnation had been

removed, she is empowered to go, and sin no more.

Condemnation strengthens sin; Grace releases or

frees one from sin.

Jesus drew her attention to her solution; IE Himself.

Once she had found her solution, she was enabled/

empowered to go and sin no more. Once she had

dealt with her actual sin; IE not believing in Jesus, she

could go and sin no more. Her sins; adultery, were

not the issue. Her sin; not believing in Him, was the

sin/the issue, or problem. Once she had found Him/

believed in Him, so her adultery; or sins in plurality,

would be resolved.

We do not deal with our sins to get Jesus; we get

Jesus to deal with our sins!

Pharisees are sin-conscious and sin-minded people

who judge and condemn others. Jesus-minded

people are those who point people to their solution so

that in Jesus their sins in plurality can be dealt with.

The answer is always in the person of Jesus and not

in the ability; or the rather inability, of ourselves!

2. The parable of the prodigal, or lost, son.

This parable is one that Jesus told as an example of

how God responds to those who are lost. The Father

in this parable is God Himself. (I prefer to call this the

parable of the good, good Father!)

Luke 15v20-24

“And he (the prodigal or lost son) arose and came

to his father. But when he was still a great way off,

his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and

fell on his neck and kissed him.

21

And the son said

to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in

your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your

son.’

22

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the

best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand

and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf

here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this

my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and

is found.’ And they began to be merry.”

The full account of the prodigal, or lost, son can be

read from verse 11 of Luke chapter 15.

Again; there is so much to be said regarding this

parable. Let’s continue to stay with the context of this

book.

This son ‘endured’ a season of wine, women, and

song. This was the result of him being so far away

from his solution, his Father. This son lost everything

and was in a literal pigsty. He was as low as low could

go; he was very far away from his Father.

He had a wrong view of the Father and so stayed away

far longer than he ought to have. He saw himself as

a sinner and a slave, and that his Father would judge

him harshly. (We have a Father who is to be referred

to as Father God, and not the Godfather!).

In a state of destitution and desperation, the son

comes back to the Father expecting a harsh reception.

The Father is, however, moved with compassion and

has zero motivation to accuse, condemn, or judge the

son. (1 Peter 4v8 - Love covers a multitude of sins).

The Father makes absolutely NO reference to the

son’s many sins in plurality, but rather throws His

arms around him and embraces him intimately ‘just

as he is’.

Picture the ﬁlthy and smelly state of the son. He came

straight from the quagmire of the pigsty. This son was

dirty and smelly both outside and in; this was a ‘bad

boy’, yet the Father throws His arms around him and

hugs him intimately and intently. He openly permitted

the son to ﬁnd his solution and did not point out his

sins.

This compassionate and deep embrace ‘rubbed the

dirt’ off the son; it washed away his many sins in

plurality. (This act is a picture of the atonement we

have in Christ).

After the son receives the embrace of the Father, the

Father then takes it to the next level for He does the

following: -

a. Puts a robe on him. This is a picture of the robe of

righteousness that covers ALL our sins in plurality.

It too is a picture of what Jesus would attain for us

at the cross; righteousness.

b. He then puts a ring on the son. This is a picture of

betrothal/marriage, a picture of oneness and unity

with Another, a picture of co-identity, and a picture

of delegated or co-authority.

c. He then puts sandals on his feet. This is a

picture of the gospel of peace. This son was to

enjoy peace with the Father, and not accusation,

condemnation, judgement, and harshness.

d. The Father then proceeds to throw a HUGE party

because His son that was lost, has come home to

his Father. This is a picture of God’s great pleasure

and joy in the son for he has come home. It too is

a picture of the marriage feast of the Lamb when

we get to heaven one day soon.

e. Finally, the Father consolidates the matter by

unashamedly pronouncing to all that this is His

son. The Father consolidates the son’s eternal

identity. It too is a picture of God conferring eternal

sonship on us when we are at the marriage feast

of the Lamb.

In, and throughout, all of this, there is never ONE

mention of the son’s many, many sins in plurality. The

son’s ONE sin had been resolved; the sin of leaving

the Father.

Subsequently, all his sins in plurality were covered

in a robe of righteousness. From the moment of

returning and believing in the Father, the son is seen,

and related to, as being righteous!!

Chapter Four -

Once for all – Eternal Redemption.

Hebrews 9v12

“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His

own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for

all, having obtained eternal redemption.”

The book of Hebrews is a wonderful book that explains

the message of Jesus which is that of grace, released

by faith, in the ﬁnished work of Jesus. In several

places, the writer to the Hebrews makes statements

such as the one found in Hebrews 9v12 above.

Having laid a foundation in the ﬁrst eight chapters of

the book of Hebrews; the writer now arrives at this

wonderful statement – Jesus dealt with all sins ‘once

and for all’, and has obtained ‘eternal redemption’ for

mankind at the victory of the cross!

Our sins were dealt with once and for all time, and our

eternal redemption is released to us as individuals

from the moment we believed in Jesus; IE been born

again!

The Holy Spirit would not be Holy if He convicted

you of something that does not exist in the eyes of

God. Should the Holy Spirit convict you of your sins

He would need a name change. He would either be

referred to as the Unholy Spirit; or the Lying Spirit.

Neither of these is who He is – He is the precious

Holy Spirit and He convicts from whom He is, and

who we now are in Christ; just as holy and righteous

as He is!

The Holy Spirit is referred to as The Comforter, The

Helper, the Encourager, and The One who Empowers.

He is never referred to as the accuser, the one who

opposes, the one who weakens or disenables, the

one who judges, or is harsh. The Holy Spirit is love;

He is not hate! Love gives – Hate takes away.

Chapter Five -

Where is your righteous position located?

Where are your born-again and righteous positions

found? Your born-again righteous position is found in

the “Spirit” part of who you are!

John 4v23-24

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the

true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and

truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must

worship in spirit and truth.”

In this scripture, Jesus is talking to the woman at

the well. Jesus explains that there is a time that is

coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will

worship God in Spirit and truth!

The word worship means to lean forward and kiss in

an uninhibited, personal, deep, and intimate manner.

It is to embrace tightly and deeply in an inseparable,

continuous, and unﬂuctuating manner. It is to embrace

in a locked position.

Whilst we can express worship in the singing of

wonderful songs, this is not the full understanding

or expression of worship. Worship is to enjoy an

unconditional, unbroken, and intimate relationship

with God continuously and eternally.

The position we are to continuously take is one of

relating to God in Spirit and in Truth! John 4v23

above refers to this as true worship. You are a true

worshipper when you relate to God from your spirit

man. I would, therefore, be a ‘false worshipper’ if I

related to God from any other place, position, situation,

or circumstance other than my spirit.

The following explains what it means to worship in

Spirit and in Truth: -

Hebrews 4v12

“For the word of God is living and powerful,

and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing

even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints

and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and

intents of the heart.”

1 Thessalonians 5v23

“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you

through and through. May your whole spirit, soul,

and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord

Jesus Christ.”

The two scriptures above are rich in their deep and

diverse content. The depth of these two scriptures will

be written about in a subsequent book.

(In essence, the scriptures above refer to us as being

triune beings; IE consisting of three parts. We are

ﬁrstly a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body).

The context of this book, however, requires that we

stay on track and focus on where we are without sin;

or what part of us is without sin, and referred to as

righteous. It is from this part of us that we worship/

intimately relate to and enjoy God, and He us. This

part of us is our spirit man!!

1 John 4v17

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we

may have boldness in the day of judgment; because

as He is, so are we in this world.”

This scripture clearly states that in our spirit man we

are exactly as is Jesus in this world; IE in our current

born-again status. If our spirit had molecules or DNA

we could say that molecule for molecule, DNA for

DNA particle, we are exactly 100% the same as is

Jesus in our spirit-man.

This scripture also explains that love is only perfected

when we are just the same as the other person; when

we are ‘just as the other person is!’Love always brings

about oneness and unity.

1 Corinthians 6v17

“But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit

with him.”

As an example; let’s say that the Person of Jesus

and the person of ourselves represent two glasses

of water. If you were to pour those two glasses into

one glass you would now have one fused-together

glass of water. These two glasses of water have now

become one.

This fusion of waters is now inseparable; it is

impossible to separate them and return them to their

original status. We are one in the spirit with God the

Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. From this moment

onwards it is impossible to separate ourselves from

God – We are one Spirit; full of the Life and Substance

of the Godhead!!

(You too could rightly say that ALL those who have

believed in Jesus are all together one in God the

Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit).

When Jesus spoke to the woman at the well, He said

the time had come when the true worshippers would

worship, or intimately relate to God in spirit and in

truth.

The spirit part of us is 100% righteous and holy for it

is founded in Jesus. In our spirit part of who we are,

we have NO sin at all!! If we had sin in our spirit man,

we would have to conclude that Jesus too has that

same sin in Him, for He is one with and in us. We are

one person with and in the Godhead in our spirit part;

righteous and holy!

Whenever I relate to God, sing songs of worship to

God, and enjoy speaking with God, I am ever mindful

that I am doing so from my spirit man. My spirit man

is holy, righteous, is just as Jesus is. In my spirit man,

I have NO sin and so there is NO need for me to

confess my sins for they do not exist in my spirit!

In my spirit man, I am righteous; there is NO sin in my

spirit man. Accordingly, if I confess, I am a sinner I am

either deceived or have believed a lie. Because I am

one with Jesus in the spirit, I would be confessing that

Jesus is a sinner if I confess that I am a sinner!

It is 100% accurate to confess that I am 100%

righteous and holy in my spirit man!

It is from, or in, my spirit man that I can enjoy an

unbroken, unhindered, and intimate relationship with

God.

When I focus on who I am in the spirit, it becomes

impossible for me to ever have feelings of

condemnation and guilt.Any feelings of condemnation

and guilt are the result of my being deceived, lacking

in knowledge, or believing the lie.

Romans 8v1

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those

who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according

to the ﬂesh, but according to the Spirit.”

When we realize that we are “in Christ” and we walk

according to who we are in the “Spirit” we should

never have feelings of condemnation! How can one

be accused, judged, or condemned if one is 100%

righteous, 100% without sin? I cannot be blamed for

anything if I am innocent of all things. Aaaah, what

Jesus attained for us is wonderfully awesome!

John 17v21

“that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in

Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us.”

In John chapter 17 we read of the last prayer Jesus

prayed before He went to the cross. In this prayer, He

clearly deﬁnes why He is going to the cross. Jesus

was going to the cross to deal with the sins of mankind

so that mankind could come back to their original

state of being one with and in Him; that man could

return to his original state of being made IN the

image of God!!

Genesis 1v26-27

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image,

according to Our likeness; let them have dominion

over the ﬁsh of the sea, over the birds of the air, and

over the cattle, over all the earth and over every

creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

So God

created manIN His own image; IN the image of God

He created him; male and female He created them.

God ﬁrst created man as a spirit being. In this spirit

being He made us IN His Image; IE just as He is in

this world! We were situated IN Him when we were

created; one in Spirit with the triune God. Jesus came

to reinstate God’s original plan; that we would be one

in Him; that we would be one in spirit; that we would

be ‘just as He is in this world!’ Jesus attained this at

the cross and therefore He succeeded in fulﬁlling

God’s plan. If Jesus had not attained this at the cross,

He would ‘have failed’; Jesus NEVER fails!!

Chapter Six -

Conviction of Righteousness.

John 16v8-11

“And when He has come, He will convict the world

of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of

righteousness, because I go to My Father and you

see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of

this world is judged.”

The second thing that the Holy Spirit convicts of, is

that the believer is righteous.

- Once you have become a believer you have

become righteous; your spirit man is 100% holy

and righteous! The Holy Spirit no longer convicts

you of the one sin that keeps you from heaven,

sends you to hell and denies you an intimate

relationship with God; IE the sin of not believing

in Jesus.

From the moment you have put your belief in Jesus

you are righteous, and the Holy Spirit wants you

to know that. If ever someone, or something, is

‘convicting’ you of your sin you can be sure that it is

not Holy Spirit-inspired.

2 Corinthians 5v17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation; old things have passed away; behold, all

things have become new.

From the time we are believers in Jesus, you will

notice that scripture refers to us in many ways as

being just as Jesus is. You too will notice that scripture

now conveys both our status and all we have in the

‘past tense’; IE we already have it; we have it now.

Let’s look at two portions of scripture that example

this past tense, already have it now, status: -

Ephesians 1v3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus

Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual

blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

2 Peter 1v2-4

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the

knowledgeofGodandofJesusourLord, asHisdivine

power has given to us all things that pertain to life and

godliness.”

Right standing; righteousness, translates to right and

present tense having or owning as one who holds a

fully paid-up title deed. You own it, it’s yours. Your

spirit man has the Person and Substance of ALL

things. Whatever is in Jesus; whatever is in heaven,

is yours. Your born-again spirit is fully and absolutely

saved and possesses ALL things! You lack NO good

thing!

A revelation that you are righteous, healed, delivered,

and prospered 100% in your spirit man is the starting

point of releasing all things. Once you know this truth

you will realize that you have NO need to ask God for

anything at all – You have it all; nothing lacking and

nothing broken.

Your prayer will now be a prayer of thanks and not a

prayer of need.

(Faith positions itself from a place of having, and not

needing).

In your spirit man, you have NO cancer, NO poverty,

NO pain or brokenness – You are 100% just as is

Jesus in your spirit man. If Jesus has cancer, is poor,

is in pain, and is broken; then, and only then, would

you have all these things. Of course, Jesus has none

of these things, and so nor do you in your spirit man!

This truth is the biggest faith releaser. Faith is never

faith if it is trying to get something (there’s nothing to

get). Faith is realizing that I already have it, and have

it ALL right now in this world; in my spirit man! Believe

it, release it, and live in it!

Faith approaches all things from a position of victory,

and never a position of defeat, or trying to get the

victory.

We are: -

We are the prosperous the devil is trying to make

poor.

We are the healthy the devil is trying to make sick.

We are the delivered the devil is trying to put into

bondage.

We are not: -

We are not the poor trying to be prosperous.

We are not the sick trying to get healed.

We are not the ones in bondage trying to get delivered.

Romans 8v32

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered

Him up for us all, how shall He not together with Him

also freely give us all things?”

Together with Jesus, we have freely been given ALL

things. Together, with Jesus, we have all things in our

spirit man; we lack NO good thing!

In my spirit I am righteous, holy, delivered, healthy,

prosperous, sanctiﬁed, and justiﬁed; I am just as is

Jesus! I have perfect and blameless standing before

God. I am a true worshipper; one who worships/

relates to God in spirit and in truth.

About three years ago I was ministering on healing

in a meeting, and a gentleman of about 35-40 years

old came up after the service to speak to me. He

proceeded to say the following to me – “I just have to

talk to someone; can you please help me?” He then

went on to describe to me the most heinous sexual

sins and perversions perpetrated by him. He told

me of how hard he had tried to stop this sinning and

that he felt he had let God down. He felt God was

disappointed and angry with him.

Accordingly, he was extremely reticent to attend

church or to pray. He told me he had accepted Jesus

as his Lord and Saviour when he was 15 years old. He

proceeded to tell me of other sins he had committed

and that he saw himself as the worst sinner on the

planet. – Can you help me was his closing cry?

I never once referred to, or pointed out his many sins

in plurality to him; never once accused, condemned,

or judged him. I knew the solution was that a re-

identiﬁcation had to take place - (This born-again

man did not truly know who he was, or what he had).

I, therefore, counselled him as follows: -

“Every time you fall into any of these sins, and any

other sins, I want you to do the following. Go stand

immediately in front of a mirror and look yourself

squarely and fully in the eye and say the following – “I

am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”. I want

you to say that over, and over, to yourself every time

you practice anyone of these sins”.

He was initially ﬂabbergasted by my counsel and said

– “How can I say I am righteous immediately after I

have sinned?”

I explained that he had a sin consciousness and we

needed to change that. I emphasized that the best

time to say these words is directly after we have

committed sins. We commit sins because we don’t

know who we are and what we have.

The man took up my counsel and testiﬁed that the

power of these sins was being broken from one level

to the next the more he confessed his true status in

his spirit man – “I AM the righteousness of God IN

Christ Jesus”. To the measure that he renewed his

mind to that truth; to that measure his breakthrough

occurred. We last spoke about 18 months ago and he

confesses that he now has victory in these areas.

Focus on your solution; Jesus, and who you are IN

Him, and your practice will follow. The Holy Spirit only

convicts you of your righteousness once you have

believed in Jesus. Align yourself to what He says

you are. Agree with Him, and see your life transform.

Agree with Him and He will empower the change in

your life.

Chapter Seven -

Conviction of Judgement.

John 16v8-11

Colossians 2v15

“In Him you were also circumcised with the

circumcision made without hands, by putting off the

body of the sins of the ﬂesh, by the circumcision of

Christ,

also were raised with Him through faith in the working

of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you,

buried with Him in baptism, in which you

13

being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision

of your ﬂesh, He has made alive together with Him,

having forgiven you all trespasses,

14

having wiped

out the handwriting of requirements that was against

us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out

of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

15

Having

disarmed principalities and powers, He made a

public spectacle of them, triumphing over them

in it.”

Verses 11-14 describe the victory Jesus attained for

us at the cross. By making us alive together with Him,

having forgiven ALL trespasses, we are rendered

victorious.

By this victory, all adverse principalities and powers

have been totally defeated, disarmed, disabled, and

made a public spectacle of. Paul was using a well-

known Israeli wartime practice example when he

referred to the enemy being made a public spectacle

of. There were times when the Israelites had been

taunted and terrorized by their enemies. The Israelites

would fall into fear and trepidation in these times.

The only way to deal with this fear and trepidation

was to go to war and defeat the enemy. Only once

the enemy had been defeated could they feel secure

and stop the fear and trepidation that was terrorizing

them.

Once the enemy had been defeated, they would

disarm/strip the enemy of all their weaponry and

possessions. Many a time their enemy would be totally

wiped out and left for dead. This way the enemy was

totally and utterly incapacitated and thereby presented

no threat to the Israelites from that day forward.

To prove that the enemy had been defeated the

Israelites would drag, and parade, the defeated king’s

dead body, and all the enemy’s possessions, before all

the people of Israel. This served as evidence that the

enemy had been totally incapacitated and defeated.

Satan was annihilated at the cross. He was defeated

and stripped of all the authority he stole from Adam

in the garden of Eden. All authority in heaven and

on earth was given to Jesus. Jesus lives in us, and

together with Him, we have ALL authority over the

enemy and his cohorts.

In absolute truth, the devil is a zero with the ring

knocked off. A revelation of this truth makes us like

Teﬂon. We are impenetrable and impervious to any

of the devil’s schemes, deceits, and lies. The only

weapon the devil has is deception and lies. If we fall

for his deception and lies, we become a candidate for

his illegal trespassing in our lives. He has NO legal

right to put anything on us for Jesus has stripped him.

Knowing this truth equips us with a discernability

that nulliﬁes his deceit and lies. We are more than

conquerors IN Christ Jesus. The greatest, and

ultimate, victory of the cross was the resurrection of

Jesus from the dead! The thing that nulliﬁes the devil

the most is the resurrection of Jesus!!

Romans 8v11

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the

dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the

dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through

His Spirit who dwells in you.”

The Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead was a

‘powerful Spirit’ for Jesus had to be raised from having

taken ALL the sins, sicknesses, bondages, poverty,

broken hearts, etc of all of mankind over all of the

history of the world. Imagine how powerful that Spirit

is! That ‘more than enough’ for one man Spirit dwells

in you! How, therefore, can the devil pose any threat

to the born-again believing, believer!?

Satan is a loser; that boy has been judged, stripped,

nulliﬁed, defeated, and made a public spectacle of;

case closed!!

Revelation 12v11

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now

salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our

God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the

accuser of our brethren, who accused them before

our God day and night, has been cast down.”

• Satan, not the Holy Spirit, is the accuser. He is the

one who points out your every sin and makes you

feel guilty and condemned.

• It is important to note that the accuser/Satan has

been cast down; IE he is a defeated foe. Satan

works with deception and lies. He accuses us of

things we are not guilty of. Jesus removed all our

sins. Any accusation of sin from the devil is a lie!

The ﬁrst thing we notice in this scripture is that a loud

voice was heard in Heaven. God was wanting us to

hear loud and clear that the accuser has been cast

down!!

In the Old Testament Satan had a legal right to

accuse the brethren before God day and night for

he had deceived and stolen the authority God gave

to Adam. When the second Adam came, IE Jesus,

Satan was stripped of this ability to accuse us before

God day and night for Jesus took this authority back

for mankind.

Accordingly, the accuser, Satan, was cast down

from being before God. When Satan was cast down,

accusation was cast down together with him. In full

truth, Satan cannot accuse us any longer unless

he can deceive us, or unless we do not know of our

status of victory in Christ. His accusation has been

cast down!

Romans 8v1a

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those

who are in Christ Jesus!”

Hosea 4v6

“My people perish, are destroyed, because of a lack

of knowledge!”

What we do not know is destroying us! This book’s

number one desire is to give us knowledge so that

we will not be destroyed; we will not perish. We need

to; have to, know who we are in Christ and what we

have in Christ!! We too need to know the cast-down

position of the devil; he has been judged and stripped

of all authority! Do not believe his lies – Know who

you are, and what you have, in your spirit man!

Chapter Eight –

Casting down Imaginations.

It is said that many Christians have either a limited

knowledge of the Word or do not allow the Word of

God to ‘get in the way’ of what they believe.

The Word of God is powerful when received, believed,

and appropriated. It is the only ‘agent’ that can bring

sustained change, victory, and abundance into every

area of our lives.

Hosea 4v6

“My people are destroyed/perish for lack of

knowledge.”

Mark 7v13

“Making the word of God of no effect through the

traditions and doctrines of man which you have

handed down/held onto.”

Our traditions and doctrines; our biases and

inﬂexibilities to openly receive the Word, makes the

Word of God of no effect in our lives.

(One of the best ways to explain what traditions

and doctrines are is to use the word culture. Many a

person practices their culture at the expense of the

Word. For many, culture trumps the Word in almost

all their ways of life).

For years I held onto a certain bent, bias, or persuasion

of the Word that kept me in a very limited and rather

frustrating Christian life. Finally; a day dawned when

I ‘had had enough’ and realized that it is the deﬁnition

of insanity to do things the same way and expect

different results.

Amongst several scriptures, Hosea 4v6, Mark 7v13,

and 2 Corinthians 10v5; together with John 5v39,

were my game changers. I determined that ‘from this

day forward’ I would be aware and sensitive to the

great value I had gotten from these scriptures.

John 5v39 is an imperative and a ﬁrst reference in

how we are to interpret ALL scripture! In this scripture,

Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and in essence, is

telling them that they do not how to interpret scripture.

John 5v39

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you

have eternal life; and these are they which testify of

Me (point to Me/direct you to Me). But you are not

willing to come to Me.”

The Pharisees could not be faulted for their searching

and rehearsing of the scriptures. The issue was that

their search did not result in life-releasing, and life-

changing results. The reason for this is that they

missed the purpose ofALL scripture; IE to ﬁnd JESUS

in scripture.

The Bible comes alive when you are searching for

Jesus from Genesis to Revelation. There are types,

shadows, pictures, prophetic indicators, etc, of Jesus

on every page of the bible. When you search the

scriptures to ﬁnd Jesus the Word of God comes alive.

The Holy Spirit only brings revelation of scripture

when you are looking for Jesus. The primary function

of the Holy Spirit is to point you to Jesus.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life – John 14v6.

The word ‘the’ here is written in the express singular;

IE there is NO variation from the singular ‘the’. Jesus,

and only Jesus, is the way, the truth, and the life!!

John 16v14

“He (the Holy Spirit) will glorify Me, for He will take

of what is Mine and declare it to you.”

In John 16 Jesus is ‘introducing’ the Holy Spirit and

what His functions/purposes will be when He comes.

One of, if not the most important, purposes of the Holy

Spirit is to glorify, make known, make evident, and

point people to Jesus. The Holy Spirit is to declare;

make known to all, who Jesus is for we will be situated

IN Jesus and will be one with Him after the ascension

of Jesus.

Because we are situated IN, one with Jesus in the

Spirit, it is true to say that when we ﬁnd Jesus, we

have found ourselves; IE who we are in our Spirit

man IN Jesus.

If we are not ﬁnding Jesus in scripture we will be

‘confused as to who we are’. Identity is founded in

who we are IN Jesus.

It was only when I got a realization of this truth that

the revelation of scripture came alive for me. I now

realize that the Holy Spirit can only bring revelation if

I’m looking to ﬁnd Jesus in all scripture.

There is now never a time that I read the Word and do

not get revelation. The Word is deep; every scripture

has an eternity of dimensions or facets to it, for all

scripture points to Jesus who is eternal. You can read

the same scripture a thousand times and get new

revelations out of it if you’re looking for Jesus in it

each time you read.

The Word of God is a person and His Name is Jesus.

John 1v1a

“In the beginning, was the Word...”

This scripture refers to Jesus as the Word. Therefore,

when we are searching for Jesus in scripture, we

have become a Word-based Christian; or you could

say, a Jesus-based Christian.

2 Corinthians 10v5

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing

that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and

bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience

of Christ.”

When we align everything in our lives; every scripture,

to the Person of Jesus, we will have cast down every

imagination, and high thing, from exalting itself in our

lives.

From this place, or point, onwards we will re-align

our belief system and release the life that is found in

Christ and our spirit man.

You are just as Jesus is in this world. You are situated

IN Him, one with Him. In your spirit man, you are fused

as one person with Jesus. You are righteous, holy,

and justiﬁed. Before you lies a defeated and judged

foe; the devil. You are powerful, victorious, and live in

abundance! You are His; you live and abide IN Him.

Chapter Nine -

Summary.

In summary, the Holy Spirit convicts of three things: -

1. He convicts the world of sin; the singular sin of not

believing in Jesus.

2. He convicts that the believer is righteous.

3. He convicts that Satan has been judged/defeated.

The rest of this book primarily refers to who we are

IN Christ; who we are in our Spirit man, and what

we have in Christ; in our spirit-man.

The next book will give focus on how we work this

Spirit man, abundant content, out into our souls and

out into our bodies. The starting point is to know who

we are in our Spirit; this is imperative. The next is to

know how we make this truth of who we are in our

Spirit our everyday ‘on the ground’ experience and

reality!!

To have all the water we need for life situated in

one ﬁlled-to-the-brim reservoir is awesome, yet,

without the knowledge of how to release it, is to have

everything and experience nothing.
