Another source, Arab Historians of the Crusades, cites the Muslim Imad al-Din. Imad al-Din related how “among the Franks there were women who rode into battle with cuirasses and helmets “acting like brave men.” He commented further: “Praise be to Him who led them into such error and out of the paths of wisdom. Some of them were discovered and sold as slaves.”
